Chateau Cos Labory 科斯拉百麗酒莊位於波爾多 Saint-Estephe 產區，酒莊毗鄰著名的二級莊 Chateau Cos d'Estournel 愛士圖爾酒莊和四級莊 Chateau Lafon-Rochet 拉芳羅榭酒莊，地理位置優越。酒莊擁有葡萄園面積達18公頃，使用慢速生長的砧木，採取高密度種植，葡萄園的種植密度為8700株/公頃，葡萄樹的平均樹齡達35年。在葡萄園內進行傳統方式作業（包括採取可持續農耕方式、只在需要的地方使用化學藥劑等），使用雙居由式剪枝法。土壤主要為第四砂礫土壤，底土為石灰岩土壤，排水性佳，非常適宜葡萄生長。

Chateau Cos Labory 最初由 Gaston 家族持有，當時酒莊名為“Cos-Gaston”。莊主 Pierre Gaston 生前將酒莊經營的有聲有色。1777年，Pierre Gaston 去世，他的兒子 Hyacinthe 接手酒莊。後來，Hyacinthe 的女兒 Marie Sany 與 Francois-Armand Labory 結婚，酒莊自此歸入 Labory 家族手中，酒莊也被重新命名為 Chateau Cos Gaston Labory。後來酒莊被相鄰的愛士圖爾酒莊莊主 Louis Gaspard d’Estournel 收購，之後便開始了漫長且多次的轉手，酒莊在1855年分級中被評比為五級酒莊，現在酒莊由 Bernard Audoy 所經營管理。

莊主 Bernard Audoy 是一位在波爾多酒類研究協會學習過的釀酒學家，與大多數列級莊不同，是少有的幾個使用美國橡木桶陳年葡萄酒的酒莊之一（但不只使用美國橡木桶——他們將法國產橡木桶與美國橡木桶混合使用）。Audoy 還是 Saint-Estephe 一位偉大的守護者，出任當地葡萄酒組織的主席。

葡萄經過分類，去梗和壓榨後，在控溫的不銹鋼酒缸中低溫浸皮，以保持豐富的果味同時亦可在年輕時被享用，添加人工酵母並恆溫28℃進行酒精發酵，期間每天兩次淋皮和踩皮，約3-4週後完成酒精發酵，然後恆溫20至21℃進行蘋果酸乳酸發酵，在50%新橡木桶中陳年12至15個月。

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cos Labory opens with cassis, plums and herbs with notions of black soil and pencil lead. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and fresh with fine-grained tannins and nice purity, finishing long.

Plenty of plum and smoke on this rather broad St.-Estèphe and there’s just enough character and structure to hold it on track. Soft finish.

The 2016 Cos-Labory has a lovely bouquet, quite forward and open, offering brambly black fruit laced with violet. The medium-bodied palate presents supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, and tobacco and cedar toward the classically styled finish, which displays impressive persistence.

This firm wine has the classic structure of Saint-Estèphe. Dry tannins march together with black fruit to create a wine that will take a while to soften and open up. There is potential here for a rich, fruity wine.

Rich and powerful, with good freshness underneath the fruit. The components of the wine are off the charts, extremely knitted down and barely budging. It has amazing silky tannins and just a slight tartness to the fruit on the finish which pulls things up abruptly.
