Clos Marsalette 馬薩雷特由Francis Boutemy 于2002年創立。Francis Boutemy 在波爾多已經擁有豐富的經驗，因為他擁有鄰近的   Chateau Haut Lagrange。實際上，Francis Boutemy 來自一個葡萄酒家族，他的祖父   Jacques Guillemaud 既是酒商，又是同樣位於   Pessac Leognan 的Chateau Larrivet HautBrion 的所有者。

目前，酒莊由   Stephan Von Neipperg 和   Didier Miqueu共同擁有。Stephan von Neipperg 是目前世界上最炙手可熱的釀酒大師，他在全世界十幾個國家的幾十個酒莊擔任顧問。其在Saint Emilion酒莊而聞名。酒莊包括  Canon La Gaffeliere , La Mondotte, D'Aiguilhe, Peyreau, Clos de l'Oratorie 一系列右岸頂級名莊，而且還共同擁 Sauternes 的列級莊   Chateau Guiraud  ，在波爾多地位可謂舉足輕重。

Clos Marsalette 的葡萄園分佈在   Martillac 地區由   Garonne 沖積形成的圓丘上，占地面積為   6.26 公頃。葡萄園中的土壤由源於中新世和上新世時期（500萬~1500萬年前）的海洋沉積物形成的砂質泥灰岩、淺黃褐色沙土和黏土組成。葡萄園中種植的紅葡萄品種有赤霞珠（Cabernet Sauvignon）、梅洛（Merlot）和品麗珠（Cabernet Franc），面積為5.46公頃；白葡萄品種有長相思（Sauvignon Blanc）和賽美蓉（Semilion)，面積為0.8公頃。這些葡萄樹的平均樹齡為16年。葡萄園會對葡萄樹進行修剪枝葉和疏花疏果，嚴格控制葡萄的產量。

Crazy cool nose of dark fruits with licorice and black pepper. Full bodied, with gorgeous fruits and silky refined tannins and a long, fruity finish. This is bright and beautiful. Best ever from here.

Straw-yellow with a green tinge. Bright aromas of grapefruit, green fig and aniseed, plus a hint of butter. Supple and rich, with complex, varietally accurate flavors of lime, bell pepper and dried herbs complicated by flower sand minerals on the moderately long finish. This seems accessible already. From 14- and 15-year-old vines on sandy, gravelly soil.
