酒莊Chateau La Providence 位於波美侯（Pomerol）心臟地帶。是一個古老的酒莊，歷史起源可追溯到1800年後期，酒莊所出售的酒以Chateau Trochaud 為名，在1929年才開始用了 La Providence 這個名字 。在近代，Ets. Jean- Pierre Moueix 收購了Providence。當時 Christian Moueix 手中經營 Pomerol 的名莊如雲，當中最知名且傳奇的 Pétrus 酒廠，同時擁有LA Fleur Petrus，Trotanoy 和 Hosanna 等名廠，是今日Pomerol 最舉足輕重的生產同和酒商） 購入當時該酒的名稱為 Chateau La Providence，

在2005年後酒名簡化為 Providence，並於2008年份使用新的酒標及logo，也就是我們今天所推薦的這款。2013 年，酒莊的產量全落入 La Fleur Petrus ，到今天酒莊已經停止了，2.9公頃的葡萄園全歸於 Ets. Moueix 另一名莊 Chateau Hosanna 。每年只產1200箱。

Outer quote mark A brilliant effort for the vintage, this muscular, dense purple-colored, powerful, rich 2008 offers notes of graphite, truffles, black cherries and blackberries along with moderately high tannins, full-bodied richness, impressive purity and a multidimensional mouthfeel. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the next two decades. It should prove to be one of the longer lived wines of the vintage.

Outer quote mark A rounded, concentrated wine, rich and initially soft. Chocolate and ripe plum flavors give a superripe and spicy wine. As with many of the Pomerols in 2008, acidity comes riding in to redress the balance.

Outer quote mark Blackberry and currant flavors are coddled by toast and chocolate in this plush, rich red, which is generous on the palate, yet has plenty of well-integrated tannins for support. Spice, cocoa and ganache accents add interest to the long, clean finish.

Outer quote mark This wine has some spice and berry aromas and flavors. Full and round with a slight bitterness at the end reminiscent of coffee beans and spices. Long and beautiful. So nice now but better in two or three years.
