Chateau Kirwan 麒麟城堡坐落於波爾多名區 Margaux 產區，是一座歷史悠久的波爾多名莊，在1855分級中被評為三級莊。1760年，愛爾蘭商人 Mark Kirwan 與 John Collingwood 的女兒喜結連理，因此從爵士手中繼承了麒麟城堡，並以自己的姓氏給其命名。在 Mark 的精心管理下，酒莊的葡萄園面積壯大繁榮發展，1855年，酒莊被評為三級莊。隨後，經手時任波爾多市長的 Camille Godard ，於1925年，Schyler 家族入主麒麟，繼續延續酒莊的輝煌。如今掌管酒莊的是第八代傳人的三個子女，在他們的主持下，2017年，酒莊富有現代感的酒莊建築落成。它集釀造車間和酒窖的功能於一體。在釀造車間內，分佈著許多磨砂混凝土容器，可滿足不同園區的釀制要求，在酒窖內，則分佈著井然有序的橡木桶，葡萄酒在此熟成。
麒麟城堡的葡萄園坐落於 Cantenac 高地上，其面積達37公頃。因風土多樣，酒莊將其劃分成35塊園區，以便因地制宜，充分發掘每一塊土地的潛力。其中，Cabinet Ouest 土壤為疊層黏土，這裏出產的 Merlot 圓潤而飽滿；Mois de juin 中則分佈著礫石土壤，有利於 Cabernet Sauvignon 的成熟並賦予其天鵝絨質感的單寧；而另一個同為礫石土壤的 Canon 位於海拔最高處，主要種植 Petit Verdot 。
酒莊1991到2007年間的釀酒工作由葡萄酒顧問Michel Rolland指導，在此期間出品的葡萄酒被評價為“風格有些過於現代”。此後酒莊轉而聘請Philippe Delfaut出任總經理，全職在酒莊工作，與多家名莊的釀酒顧問Eric Boissenot共同指導，每個葡萄園區塊都被分別發酵，正是得益於對葡萄園的理解與尊重，並加上精工細作的道道釀造工序，品質優異的麒麟葡萄酒才由此而生。
成熟的葡萄經人手採摘後需經過層層篩選才會被運往釀酒車間，在中等溫度下進行緩慢的浸皮，在小不銹鋼桶中發酵18-25天。發酵完畢的葡萄酒會在新桶比例約為50%的法國橡木桶中陳釀20個月左右，期間蛋清澄清和倒罐，最後裝瓶。

This full, fruity wine is packed with acidity as well as ripeness. It has a fresh black-currant character, and the structure underneath is strong. It will develop relatively quickly, but then could hold at its peak for many years.

As always, this estate has produced a blockbuster style of Margaux in 2010, with the more masculine side of the appellation providing density, power, big body, loads of fruit, extract and richness. This wine is powerful and concentrated, but by no means excessively extracted. Dense purple, muscular, deep and impressive, it is a wine that allows for no compromise among wine lovers.

Dried berry and plum character on the nose and palate. Full body, with chewy tannins and a juicy finish. Lots of beautiful and ripe fruit here.

Bright ruby-red. Brooding aromas of boysenberry, licorice and shoe polish. Dense, sweet and creamy but serious too, with excellent definition and underlying minerality to the blueberry, cassis and spice flavors. For all its richness, this rather powerful wine is currently dominated by its structure, but the tannins are supported by mid-palate concentration of material.
