Chateau Malescot St-Exupery(馬利哥酒莊) 位於波爾多左岸的Margaux產區,於1697年被Simon Malescot (當時任職法王路易十四的議員)收購,並以自己的名字將酒莊命名為Chateau Malescot。Malescot家族共管理酒莊長達一個世紀後,歷經分裂和轉手,在1827年由Jean-Baptiste St-Expéry伯爵買下,伯爵為了紀念飛行員和作家的曾祖父Antoine de Saint- Expéry,決定更名為Chateau Malescot St-Exupery。並在1855年的波爾多列級酒莊評級中被列為三級酒莊,同產區的三級莊還有 Chateau Palmer(寶馬酒莊)和 Chateau Giscours(美人魚城堡)等名莊。
之後數度易主,且經歷過20世紀初的經濟危機後,酒莊從此走下坡,到了30年代因為二次世界大戰的緣故,甚至成為破落荒廢的莊園。戰爭結束後,Zuger家族帶著對波爾多葡萄酒釀酒事業的熱愛,著手重建葡萄園,使莊園在短時間內出產符合三級酒莊名號的佳釀。時至如今,Zuger家族仍管理著莊園,在新莊主是 Jean-Luc Zuger ,在他的管理下,繼續釀製聞名世界的美酒佳釀。
酒莊的葡萄園坐落在 Margaux 區兩片以礫石為主的區域,由五塊分散的地塊組成,其中兩塊葡萄園直接位於 Chateau Margaux 正北和正西方,總面積為28公頃。周圍表層以2-10米厚的礫石層為主,沿著緩緩的斜坡一直延伸到吉倫特河(Gironde)河口,而底層土壤則為在第三紀形成的泥灰岩和泥灰質的粘土。部分地方為鐵質層,或者說是“砂岩層”。園內葡萄藤的平均樹齡為35年,部分老藤年齡超過50年,種植密度為10,000株/公頃,平均單產在5,000-6,000升/公頃左右。目前,葡萄品種的比例主要為 Cabernet Sauvignon 約50%, Merlot 35%,Carbernet Franc 10%和 Petit Verdot 5%。
酒莊聘請著名的“飛行釀酒師”Michel Rolland擔任釀酒顧問。Chateau Malescot St-Exupery 葡萄酒會在控溫大桶內進行酒精發酵,不添加額外的酵母及其他添加劑。然後在陳釀時,會在全新橡木桶中陳釀14-16個月。Chateau Malescot St-Exupery葡萄酒帶有濃郁的紅色漿果和泥土氣息,以誘人的樹莓和紫羅蘭芳香著稱,質地絲滑,酒體濃郁平衡,精緻優雅,單甯圓潤集中,表現力佳,香料以及黑醋栗的風味中伴隨著平衡愉悅的酸度。

A wine with intense spice and berry character, with hints of sweet tobacco. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here.

An inky/purple color is followed by notes of Asian plum sauce, forest floor, creme de cassis, black raspberries and a floral component that is unusual for a Margaux. A wine of exceptional intensity and purity with a full-bodied, sumptuous texture, lots of fresh vibrancy and excellent definition, this beautiful 2009 exhibits high but sweet tannin. It is more sexy than the 2005 was at a similar age, although their level of extract and concentration is relatively equal. Something about the 2009 reminds me of a Margaux version of St.-Julien's Léoville Poyferré ... if that makes any sense.

Finely concentrated red and black fruits on the nose, really fine vineyard expression of controlled cassis and a touch of oak. Lots of vibrancy, vigour and purity, lots of density and length, and still the Margaux elegance. A very fine wine now and will be for a long time.

This is beautiful, with smoldering tar, espresso and tobacco leaf notes fully melded together, while the core of crushed plum, steeped black currant and blackberry fruit sits in reserve. A twinge of iron adds extra length and definition on the finish. Very suave. Approachable now, but with plenty of stuffing and balance for the cellar as well.

Opaque inky purple. Watermelon and pomegranate on the nose, complicated and lifed by a floral topnote. Enters so smooth and suave that it almost seems too light at first,then shows juicy, lively flavors of chery and raspberry, with richer, riper black plum and smoky blackbery jam emerging at the back. Finishes with extremely sily tannins and wonderful floral lift. Strong but harmonious acids give outstanding clarity and cut to the flavors and convey an exhilarating sense of balance. This should age extremely well but is so crammed with seductive up-front fruit that I wonder how many bottles will make it to a ripe old age.

Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Just the right side of volatile but very winning and opulent. More 2009 than Margaux. A little dry and chewy for the moment. Massive volume and finish.
