Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 的歷史可追溯至17世紀。18世紀中葉，伯爵 Louis Francois de Belcier 正式創立了酒莊。1803年，伯爵修建了酒莊城堡，並把該酒莊命名為“Chateau Bellefont-Belcier）”。與大部分酒莊一樣，該酒莊的名字也與創建者的名字有關，酒莊名中的 Belcier 即是伯爵的姓氏。而 “Bellefont” 在法語中有漂亮的泉水之意，這是因為該酒莊附近點綴著許多大大小小的天然溫泉。1889年，Pierre Faure 購買了酒莊。正是在這個時候，葡萄園成為波爾多地區的旗艦地區之一，獲得了無數獎項（包括 1892年Concours général agricole de Paris競賽唯一的波爾多葡萄酒金獎）。在當時 Pierre 以超越時代的眼光在山坡上設計了著名的圓形酒窖，並配有重力接收裝置。自建造以來一直保持完好無損，如今已成為該酒莊的瑰寶之一。1994年，Labusquire 家族，即 Faure 的後代，把酒莊賣給了 Jacques Berrebi、Alain Laguillaumie 和 Dominique Hebard。其中，Dominique Hebard 在聖埃美隆還擁有另外一家酒莊——Chateau Le Trianon。Hebard 家族在波爾多右岸聲名卓著，曾是 Chateau Cheval Blanc 的所有者。並對酒莊進行了重組，在2006年，被列為 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru。2017年，酒莊被香港著名的富商郭炎（Peter Kwok）收購。

貝勒芬酒莊 Château Bellefont-Belcier，屬於Saint-Emilion Grand Cru，酒莊的葡萄園僅13公頃，位於Pavie、Larcis Ducasse 和 Tertre Roteboeuf 之間，葡萄園周邊圍繞著17世紀的建築。葡萄園土壤主要由黏土和石灰岩構成，種植的葡萄品種為72% 的 Merlot, 17% 的 11%的 Cabernet Franc 。葡萄樹平均年齡為30年。釀制的葡萄酒通常在法國橡木桶中進行蘋果乳酸發酵，並在法國橡木桶中陳釀15至18個月，在橡木桶中陳釀的時間取決於年份，根據不同的年份會採用30%-40%的新木桶。該酒莊的酒具有很長的陳年潛力，通常需陳年 4 至 5 年後才會發展完全。

This beautiful 2011 St.-Emilion possesses a sumptuous texture, lots of rich, earthy, black currant and black cherry fruit and spice box characteristics, a round, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and impressive purity, texture and length. Already strutting its stuff, it can be drunk now and over the next 10-12 years. A blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is a sleeper of the vintage.

This is layered and rich, and has beautiful fruit for the vintage, with dried berries and chocolate. Need at least three years to soften. Very well done for the vintage.

TThis has a relatively open feel, with mesquite and bramble notes melded into the core of crushed plum, red currant and red licorice. A flash of sinew keeps the finish honest, but this has good drive and is approachable already.
