在波爾多議會工作的律師 Jean Desmirail 得到一塊地產 (就是後來的 Château Desmirail)，就以他的姓Desmirail 來稱其名。在1855年前，Château Margaux 的經理 Monsieur Sipière 向 Desmirail 家族買下此地產，後來在他的帶領下，Château Desmirail 在分級制度中，被選為三級酒莊。

在20世紀初，來自南法的手套製造商 Martial Michel 買下此酒莊後，遇到二次世界大戰，於是將 Château Desmirail 賣給 Château Palmer，Château Palmer 經營此酒莊幾年就轉手給 Lucien Lurton，他是1980年代，波爾多紅酒界的佼佼者。

1992年，Lucien Lurton 把 Château Desmirail 分給他十個孩子，由其中兩位掌管酒莊的營運：一位年紀較長、一位職業為律師。目前酒莊管理人為Denis，他和技術總監 Pierre Lafeuillade 共同研發，將釀酒儀器現代化，投入全力與心血讓 Château Desmirail 繼續進步。

This has an earthier nose of blackberries, dried earth, bark, oyster shells and cloves. Medium-bodied with fine, tea-like tannins. Savory, mineral and tight.

The 2018 Desmirail is a gorgeous wine for readers who want a bottle to drink now. Plush and inviting, the 2018 possesses terrific depth in its inky dark fruit. Spice, chocolate, dried herbs and licorice add pretty aromatic top notes to balance all of that natural richness. All the elements are harmonious and impeccably balanced. There is so much to like.

Lilac, warmed black currant preserve and incense notes work together to define this caressing wine, while subtle mineral, bay and warm earth notes support the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Best from 2022 through 2033. 4,583 cases made.
