Maison Louis Jadot 的歷史最早可追溯到 1794 年，他的家人從比利時移居到 Beaune，並開始購買 Premier Cru 和 Grand Cru 葡萄園，酒莊是由 Louis Henry Denis Jadot 於1859年創立。而 Jadot 家族購買的第一個葡萄園是1826年的 Beaune 葡萄園 Clos des Ursules，仍然保留至今，亦被視為酒莊的招牌酒，酒風非常細緻。1954年，傳至第4代時委託了Andre Gagey 管理，並擔任 Louis Augueste Jadot 的助手，而在1962年, Louis Augueste Jadot 去世時，Gagey 接管酒莊，負責從生產到包裝到發售的全部事宜。

在1970年，Gagey 聘請了傑出的年輕藝術家 Jacques Lardiere 作為他的助手，後來也成為最終的技術總監直至2012年。 今天，Lardiere 是勃艮第公認的最好的釀酒師之一。Maison Louis Jadot 專註於葡萄酒風土的最純粹表達，盡可能地減少人工干預。1996年，Louis Jadot 與 Tonnellerie Vicard 合作，創建了自己的合作社叫做 Cadus，以生產按照勃艮第傳統製作的法國橡木桶。

現時 Louis Jadot 一共擁有270公頃園地，全部在布根地內，其中包括數量非常龐大的十片特級園，還有在 Mâconnais 及 Beaujolais Cru。

前任元老釀酒師Jacques Lardiere

Jacques Lardiere 在2012年退位前接受 Decanter 雜誌訪問，憶述當年他的第一次考驗是在1971年，當時許多布根地的葡萄園都被冰雹摧毀了。 ‘沒人知道該怎麼辦。但是 Lardiere 可以看到倖存的葡萄有多麼嚴重的瘀傷，所以我給了葡萄汁短暫的浸漬。’當時的老闆 André Gagey 擔心葡萄酒的顏色過淺。Lardiere 也是如此。 ‘但是葡萄酒的表現非常好，今天有些仍然很好狀態。經過這次之後，Andre 完全信任我。就這樣正式開始了他的葡萄酒旅程。他往後，採用特殊釀法，建立了非常獨特的風格，也讓 Louis Jadot 成為過去幾十年來品質最為穩定的酒商。在紅酒的釀造上，偏好高溫發酵，有時甚至到達 38-40C，超長浸皮亦是 Louis Jadot 的特色，常長達 30天甚至更久。白酒亦沒有跟隨潮流，變得更多酸輕盈，仍然是濃厚多木香豐富型 Chardonnay，但卻能找到極佳的平衡，與新鮮多變的香氣。

偏好高溫發酵 + 超長浸皮，造就了著名的陳年能力，看一看Allen Meadows對1858年，沒錯是1858年的Louis Jadot Romanée Grand Cru的評語節錄就知道Jadot的陳年能力和質素！

Allen Meadows: I simply couldn't get over just how spectacular the mouth feel and unreal complexity were and even at almost 160 years of age, this is still crusing along like it will live forever.

Clos de la Commaraine 是只有4公頃大的一級園，土壤主要為排好極好的礫石，全人手採摘 + 篩選，3-4星期在開蓋的木桶/不鏽鋼桶發酵，1日踩皮2次，最後在3成新自家制木桶陳熟18個月。可惜的是2017是酒款最後1個年份，可一不可再，酒友要把握最後機會！

The 2011 Pommard Clos de la Commaraine is another wine endowed with gorgeous juiciness. Typical Pommard red cherries, hard candy, flowers and mint jump from the glass. This juicy, fruit-forward wine is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years.

🏅 (2017) Allen Meadows 90-92分：

This is aromatically similar to the Pommard villages but with a bit more layering. The delicious, plump and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors possess plenty of punch and a taut muscularity before concluding in a firm, powerful and rustic finish.

The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Clos de la Commaraine (Maison Louis Jadot) is the last rendition of this cuvée, and it has turned out very well, offering up aromas of sweet red berries, cherries, warm spices and orange rind. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with an open-knit but nicely delineated profile, concluding with a stony finish.
