The Balvenie（百富）坐落於英國 Scotland（蘇格蘭）的 Speyside（斯佩賽）產區，是蘇格蘭高地（Highlands）地區唯一一家保留威士卡製造的五大超凡工藝（The Five Rare Crafts）的釀酒廠。

1892 年，William Grant 在廢棄的 Balvenie New House 建立了百富釀酒廠，釀酒廠歸 William Grant & Sons Ltd. 所有，於 1893 年 5 月 1 日開始釀造威士忌。1923 年，William Grant 去世後，他的兒子 John Grant 接管了酒廠並對其進行了第一次擴建。1929 年，酒廠採用傳統的鋪地發芽方法取代了原有的麥芽製造工序，這一方法也沿用至今。1962 年，17 歲的 David Stewart 開始在 William Grant & Sons Ltd. 工作，在作為學徒的 12 年間，他掌握了釀造最佳單一麥芽威士忌（Single Malt Whisky）的精湛工藝，並於 1974 年成為百富的第四任釀酒大師。1983 年，David Stewart 首次連續在兩種不同類型的木桶中進行百富威士忌熟成試驗，這在後來被稱為“Finishing”。通過該方法釀成的酒液就是後來的百富經典系列（The Balvenie Classic）。作為在蘇格蘭威忌卡行業從業時間最長的釀酒大師，David Stewart 對威士忌可謂是瞭若指掌。

在 Whisky 釀造上，百富恪守五大超凡工藝，堅持傳統的製作方式。首先，百富堅持自產大麥，是蘇格蘭高地地區唯一一家仍然自己種植大麥並進行麥芽處理的釀酒廠。每年，酒廠會在百富梅茵斯農場（Balvenie Mains）種植大麥，除了大麥收割時使用的聯合收割機外，其餘環節皆沿用傳統的人工種植方式，這也是造就百富單一麥芽威士忌獨特性的原因之一。除此之外，百富擁有自己的發芽床（Malting Floor），這在蘇格蘭已經十分少見了。

酒廠先將大麥浸泡在泉水中，之後平鋪在傳統的發芽床上，由麥芽工匠進行手動翻轉。發芽的大麥會被轉移到乾燥爐內，利用無煙煤和適量的泥煤進行乾燥，以增添百富威士忌的混合口感。再者，酒廠使用的蒸餾器也十分別致，其天鵝頸狀曲線的底部有一個凸出的球，被稱作“Balvenie Ball”，百富威士忌酒瓶的瓶頸也保留了這一設計特徵，這種設計使得蒸汽在上升至頂部前有更多的混合時間。銅質蒸餾器的形狀和大小是影響百富威士忌口感至關重要的兩大因素，酒廠有專門的銅匠團隊對其進行精心維護。同時，酒廠也十分注重木桶的準備和維護，擁有一個專門的桶匠團隊進行處理，這對百富威士忌的口感起著至關重要的作用。桶匠們對木桶進行適度烘烤，將木糖轉化成焦糖，讓木桶的“毛孔”完全打開。整年整日，他們都以精湛的工藝對酒廠木桶進行修復、重建、填充和封裝。最後，酒廠的釀酒大師，著名的David Stewart，擁有豐富的知識和經驗，熟知每個木桶的熟成過程，這也是百富釀造頂級單一麥芽威士忌不可或缺的重要因素。

百富現有 Core、Rare & Precious、Travel Retail、From the Tun、Single Barrel 和 DCS Compendium 六個系列的威士忌。其中，前 5 個是百富的單一麥芽威士忌系列，而 DCS Compendium 系列是釀酒大師 David Stewart 特旨在使自己的釀酒知識傳承下去而創造的系列，共分為五個篇章，每個篇章包含 5 款酒，前四章分別為蒸餾之術（Distillery Style）、橡木之力（The Influence of Oak）、窖藏之秘（Secrets of the Stock Model）和期待未知（Expecting The Unexpected），最後一章仍在創作之中。百富出產的威士忌風味獨特，品質優秀，是蘇格蘭威士忌中的上佳之品。
