Greatness and prestige. Our most exclusive brand. A wine with very limited production recognised as one of the great wines of La Rioja today.

Sourced from the best areas of the municipality of Elciego, from the oldest vines on the estate, it represents the sublime and special. For a select few.

The soils of the Caracol plot are calcareous with a loamy-clay texture, shallow, very poor in organic matter and with abundant cracks and boulders. The grapes come from vines that are over 50 years old, planted in goblets, the traditional training system. We harvest by hand, selecting only the most complete clusters and with a better maturation. The yield is very low: it does not exceed 3,000 kg per hectare. The fermentation and maceration process takes place for 20 days in stainless steel tanks with daily pumping over for optimum color and tannin extraction. The subsequent malolactic fermentation is carried out in the tank and with two rackings before entering the barrel. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels (50%) and one year (50%), with a 225-litre capacity.
