星盤酒莊的外文名“Astrolabe”取自於1827年法國航海探險家杜維里（Dumont d’Urville）發現 Marlborough 時乘坐的船的外文名字“L’Astrolabe ”，其外文含義為星盤，是眾所周知的航海工具。莊主Simon Waghorn將酒莊取名為“Astrolabe”，將酒莊與馬爾堡的歷史聯系起來，還將探險精神蘊含其中。

西門·瓦格恩（Simon Waghorn）是星盤酒莊的核心人物，他最初釀酒生涯開始於南澳大利亞，後來因工作需要，來到吉斯伯恩（Gisborne)新西蘭東海岸區釀酒，隨後擔任Marlborough 的 Whitehaven 酒莊釀酒師。1996年開始，他與太太以及Paul Davonport、Sally Lewis 決定一起做自己的酒莊，就建立了星盤酒莊。

Marlborough Pinot Noir 黑皮諾

A pure and yummy pinot with sliced strawberry and strawberry pie as well as dried citrus. It’s medium-bodied with round and dusty tannins and a flavorful finish. Solid pinot. Drink and enjoy. Screw cap.

The 2020 Marlborough Pinot Noir is a silky, supple little thing, with red apple skins, strawberry, red cherry and hints of exotic spice (sumac, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.) on the palate. The finish is firm and a little chewy (not a pejorative comment), but what this offers is classy and complete. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
