With expertise in making great wines since 1853, thedifferent branches of the Family are today responsible for some of the mostrenowned estates in the world such as Château Mouton Rothschild or ChâteauLafite Rothschild.

Passionate about the greatest terroirs inFrance and around the world, the three branches of the Rothschild Family –today represented by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild),Ariane de Rothschild (Château Clarke – Edmond de Rothschild Group), Eric andSaskia de Rothschild (Château Lafite Rothschild) – are joining forces, for thefirst time in their history, in the creation of a common estate.

Representing more than 70% of the House’ssupplies, this grape variety is certainly the best known in the world but itremains the smallest of the three main grape varieties in Champagne. Slowlyevolving, it’ s the ideal varietal for the ageing of wines and the backbone ofall the blends of the House with never less than 50 to 60% and up to 100% ofour cuvées.

A very fine blended wine based on amajority of Chardonnay, the Rothschild Family’s take on the Champagne tradition

The breadth and depth of this wine are atestament to the high proportion and exceptional quality of the reserve winesthat have gone into the blend.

Eyes: bright, clear, pale gold tints wovenwith very fine bubbles.

Nose: the freshness of the Chardonnay,aromas of white flesh fruit such as pears and nectarines, ethereal touches ofpeony expressed by the Pinot Noir. On the second nose: a spicier range,complexity with aromas of dried apricots and almonds.

Palate: roundness and generosity accompanya lovely verticality. Crisp nectarine, notes of honey, saffron and peppernicely set off by lovely bitters on the finish.
