Built in the 15th century, the winery is located in a picturesque valley about 40 km east of Bordeaux and 8 km south of Saint-Emilion, overlooking the small village of Sain-Vincent de Pertignas.
The owner, Michael Hallek, is a professor of medicine, physician, hematologist and oncologist, known for his research in the fight against leukemia. In private, he is also a wine lover and investor. While studying in Paris, he discovered Le Pin Beausoleil in 2003 and Michael Hallek took an immediate interest in the winery. A legendary French winemaker was involved. Le Pin Beausoleil is now firmly established.
The vineyards of Château Le Pin Beausoleil are spread over three plots of land. The largest, Saint Vincent de Pertignas (5.5 hectares), is located directly within the château, while the other two are located in Rauzan (1 hectare) and Mérignas (2 hectares).
The Saint Vincent de Pertignas vineyard is planted mainly to Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. However, the Cabernet Franc grapes are planted more heavily to bring aromatic notes of red flowers, red fruits and red berries to the wine, giving it a more delicate tannic structure.
The Rauzan vineyard is 100% planted with Merlot, producing a fruity, exotic young wine. Specialized in Petit Soleil, a secondary wine.
The Merignas vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot (30-40 years old) and 20% Cabernet Franc vines (8 years old). Very elegant wines are produced here, often showing black fresh fruit (wild blackberries, blueberries) and ripe lemon peel, which evolve over time into truffles, underbrush. The palate is full-bodied, smooth, deep and butterscotchy. The tannins are ample but soft. The finish is fresh and minerally. The wines of this parcel are the "muscle" of the Château le Pin Beausoleil wines.

The 2019 Le Pin Beausoleil is all class. Lifted floral accents and silky tannins grace thismid-weight, refined Bordeaux Supérieur. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, blood orange andcinnamon are all laced together in this very pretty and understated Bordeaux Supérieur.The 2019 is an absolute delight and one of the under the radar gems of the vintage.
