馬拉狄酒莊(Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere )位於法國波爾多格拉夫產區,酒莊始建於18世紀,原名“Domaine de Lagraviere”。在1959年正式確立的格拉夫分級中,共有16座酒莊被評為列級莊,其中紅、白葡萄酒均被列級的酒莊僅有6座,馬拉帝酒莊便是其中之一。




18世紀末,Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere被Malartic家族收購,Malartic家族內有一個成員是法國海軍上將,這位海軍上將曾在英法戰爭,特別是1756年的魁北克戰役中立下赫赫戰功。


1850年,Arnaud Ricard夫人購買了Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere。她為了紀念Malartic將軍和Malartic家族,將“Malartic”這個名稱加到了酒莊名中,從此Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere代替了原來的酒莊名,並一直沿用至今,而且酒瓶上還以風帆戰船圖片作為酒標。


1890年以前,Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere一直由Ricard家族掌管。1901年,酒莊傳給了Angele Ricard,隨後又傳給了Angele Ricard的孫女Simone,Simone隨後嫁給了酒莊的經理Jacques Marly。Jacques Marly在1947至1990年間一直管理著Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere,是Ricard家族最後一位經營這座酒莊的後人。


1990年,Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere被出售給Perrier家族。在購下Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere之後的7年內,Perrier家族並沒對其做太多的改變。


1996年末,Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere再次轉手,此次接管的是一對比利時夫婦Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie和Michele Bonnie。隨著Bonnie家族的加入,酒莊在資金充裕的條件下進行了進一步的革新,葡萄園面積比原來上升一倍,釀酒設備亦全部更換為現代化設備。酒莊目前還聘請了優秀的釀酒顧問Michel Rolland和Athanase Fakorellis在酒莊工作。




酒莊擁有53公頃的葡萄園,位於幾百萬年前因沖積作用形成的砂礫丘頂,地理位置優越,酒莊名字裏的“Lagraviere”在法語中即為“礫石”之意。葡萄園內土壤表層覆蓋著深達8米的排水性和吸熱性都極佳的礫石層,其下又分佈著含海洋貝殼的石灰岩土壤,既能為葡萄樹提供必需的營養物質,又可儲藏大量水分。園內葡萄種植密度為10,000株/公頃,其中紅葡萄占46公頃,分別為45%赤霞珠(Cabernet Sauvignon)、45%梅洛(Merlot)、8%品麗珠(Cabernet Franc)以及2%味而多(Petit Verdot)。 白葡萄占7公頃,種植比例為80%的長相思(Sauvignon Blanc)和20%的賽美蓉(Semillon)。




從1997年開始,保尼家族開始在酒莊內實行可持續發展種植方式。酒莊採取諸多措施為葡萄園創造一個平衡多樣的生態環境,如不使用化學殺蟲劑,同時在園區建蜂巢,在休耕地塊種植鮮花……這一系列的努力促使酒莊先後在2008年和2015年獲得了可持續農業(Agriculture Raisonnee)認證和高環保價值(Haute Valeur Environnementale,簡稱HVE)認證。




在釀酒方面,馬拉帝酒莊的釀造車間全部以重力自流法(Gravity Flow)原理作業,發酵前會在震動篩選臺上對葡萄經過兩次精挑細選。酒莊的釀造車間建成於1998年,由建築師Bernard Mazieres專門設計,呈八角形佈局,配備有20個溫控圓錐形的小型不銹鋼罐和10個橡木桶,能對不同地塊收穫的葡萄串進行單獨發酵。馬拉帝酒莊的酒窖被認為是產區內現代化程度最高的酒窖之一。在能容納1,200個橡木桶的酒窖中,酒莊每年都會將25%-35%的舊橡木桶換成新桶,用以陳釀經調配後的酒液。酒莊還有一個能容納200個橡木桶的小型酒窖,專門用來陳釀白葡萄酒。紅葡萄酒每年用50-70%的新桶進行陳釀,橡木桶熟成期一直達到22個月。白葡萄酒每年用40-60%的新桶進行陳釀,橡木桶熟成期到達15個月。運用蛋清進行裝瓶前的過濾。

I love the deep and complex nose, in whichthe cassis and mint of cabernet sauvignon are beautifully married to the moregenerous blackberry of ripe merlot and the vanilla and toasty notes from theoak are marvelously integrated. On the palate it creeps up on you slowly; thefirst impression is ripe yet delicate, then the fine-grained tannins chargethrough and light up the sky. Very long finish. Drink or hold.

Beautifully wood aged, with subtle hints ofspice, this is an elegant, textured wine, ripe with white fruit tones andlayered with intense, fresh acidity. Its bright highlights are tempered by warmfruitiness and by the mineral texture that promises aging.

The 2016 Malartic-Lagravière has awonderful bouquet of perfumed, mainly red fruit laced with potpourri, blackolive tapenade and light brine-like aromas - a bouquet full of personality. Thefresh, harmonious palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead ofacidity and just the right amount of salinity toward the loam-tinged finish.Bon vin from the Bonnies.

The colour is rich and deep but withluminosity that gives nuance and fresh air. It's a lovely 2016, poised but notas powerful as some in the vintage, yet every inch the sophisticated reflectionof the appellation. Restrained grilled berry fruits take their time to unfurl.It's still very closed but the liquorice and slate notes become clearer after10 minutes in the glass, and the wine has already deepened in the few yearssince bottling. 3% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

As to the red, the grand vin is the 2016Château Malartic-Lagravière (53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and thebalance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot). Aged in 80% new barrels and hitting13.5% natural alcohol, it offers a deep purple color with beautiful cassis,tobacco, crushed rocks, and subtle incense aromas and flavors. Balanced, mediumto full-bodied, and straight-up seamless on the palate, it’s another brilliantGraves that offers ample pleasure today yet will keep for 20+ years or more.

Ripe and fresh, with bright cherry, plumand currant pâte de fruit flavors that have a racy edge while roasted applewood, sweet tobacco and red licorice notes fill in through the lengthy finish.Thoroughly delicious, and approachable now or capable of some cellaring.

The 2016 Malartic Lagraviere is blended of53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with wild blueberries and blackcherries with cassis, bay leaves and dark chocolate nuances plus a hint ofcharcoal. Medium-bodied with a lively backbone and solid frame of ripe, roundedtannins, it finishes with an herbal lift.

Like many of the 2016 Pessac-Léognan reds,this is deceptively forward and easy to drink from barrel, with abundant redberry perfume, strawberry and plum flavours and smooth tannins and oak. But theacidity and underlying concentration will help it to age.
