Chateau Paveil de Luze (柏菲露絲酒莊)是梅多克地區最古老的酒莊之一，自19世紀以來已經歷經了6代人的經營和管理。Paveil葡萄園的歷史可追溯至17世紀，到18世紀末期為布林多納領主（Lords of Bretonneau）所有。1862年， Baron Alfred de Luze買下了這片方圓120公頃的土地，也就是從那個時候起，以Chateau Paveil de Luze為名的葡萄酒開始蜚聲國際。尤其是在美國市場，阿爾弗雷德的兄弟路易•菲力浦（Louis-Philippe）將這些葡萄酒經營得有聲有色。但在1956年，霜災幾乎摧毀了酒莊整個葡萄園。1960年，若弗魯瓦•露絲男爵（Baron Geoffroy de Luze）決定重新耕種葡萄園，並且翻修酒窖，使酒莊恢復了昔年的生產。可惜的是，之後的Luze家族在歷史幾番波折後，逐塊逐塊的切割售出莊園土地，到了1973年時，只剩下大概十公頃的葡萄園還有在耕種釀酒。西元 2004 年，Luze家族新一代接班人 Frederic de Luze 決心要重整莊園產業，同時，也聘請了法國當代傳奇釀酒大師 Stephane Derenoncourt (史蒂芬 德農古)的釀酒團隊來協助合作，從拾昔日的光輝。

2010年，是Stephane Derenoncourt釀造的第一個年份，亦是酒莊新的里程碑。一向都是Crus Bourgeois(中級莊)成員的Chateau Paveil de Luze，經過幾年的努力，於2018年升格為Crus Bourgeois Exceptionnel(特級中級莊)，即是中級莊的最高級別，截至2020年，Crus Bourgeois的成員有249家酒莊，Crus Bourgeois Exceptionnel級的只有14家，可見其實力。

The 2016 Paveil de Luze is terrific. Wafting from the glass with notions of crème de cassis, loamy soil, cigar wrapper, pencil shavings, dark chocolate and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with fine depth at the core and a more introverted, tightly wound profile than the 2019.

The 2016 Paveil de Luze is just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel. Cabernet Sauvignon drives this gorgeous Margaux Cru Bourgeois. Savory aromatics and a

good deal of supporting structure frame the dark, racy fruit beauifully. Powerful and deep in the glass, the 2016 possesses tremendous intensity as well as character.

Very attractive, fragrant flowers on the nose, as well as a flinty, coal-dust edge, leading to a very plush, ripe and juicy palate that has a wealth of supple, rich and attractive, fleshy fruit. Great balance, too. This is delicious. Try from 2022.
