Chateau Sigalas Rabaud Sauternes是1855 Sauternes Classification中得到First Growth Premier Cru的等級，當中只有11家酒莊得到這等級，1855 Sauternes Classification中最高級是Premier Cru Supérieur，但亦只有一間酒莊得到此級別，就是 Chateau d’Yquem，所以一般坊間討論Sauternes甜酒的高低，大都會圍繞First Growth Premier Cru及Deuxièmes Crus(Second Cru)去討論，畢竟只有一間酒莊的Premier Cru Supérieur，實在沒有什麼好討論的空間。
chateau sigalas-rabaud與蘇玳和巴薩克一級酒莊——chateau rabaud-promis原本同屬於一個酒莊——Chateau Rabaud。Chateau Rabaud的歷史可以追溯至1660年，當時為Peyronne de Rabaud夫人所有。之後，酒莊作為夫人的嫁妝歸屬於Cazeau家族。Cazeau家族是當地著名的貴族，擁有眾多產業，對Chateau Rabaud的經營並沒有太重視。在Cazeau家族掌管酒莊的150年裏，酒莊並沒有取得太大的成就，直到1819年，Gabriel Deyme從Cazeau家族手中購得酒莊。在他的苦心經營下，酒莊的聲譽日益提升，並且在1855年蘇玳和巴薩克分級評選中入圍，被評為蘇玳和巴薩克列級一級酒莊。
1863年，Deyme先生將酒莊出售給了Henri Drouilhet de Sigalas先生。Henri Drouilhet de Sigalas將其名字加入酒莊名中，這也是“斯格拉哈寶（Rahaud-Sigalas）”名字的來源。早在收購酒莊之前，Henri 就已擁有面積10公頃左右的Pexoto酒莊，之後他將皮索托併入Chateau Rabaud。
1903年，Henri 先生的兒子Pierre Drouihet de Sigalas將大部分酒莊的所有權賣給了Adrien Promis，chateau sigalas-rabaud就此誕生。這也標誌著Chateau Rabaud正式分裂，衍生出chateau sigalas-rabaud酒莊與chateau rabaud-promis兩個酒莊。Pierre自己保留了他認為的葡萄園中最好的一塊地，並稱它為“西加拉斯的寶石”，這塊地主要由裸露在外的礫石組成，另外，他還開闢了14公頃的chateau sigalas-rabau的葡萄園。1913年，他開始出租這塊葡萄園。1930年，當葡萄園的租賃沒有被續簽時，Fernand Ginestet作為酒莊的租戶開始運營Rabaud。20世紀30到40年代間，所出產的葡萄酒分別標注兩個酒莊各自的酒標。不過，因為葡萄園的貧瘠以及世界大戰的影響，這個時期也是葡萄園比較困難的時期。
chateau sigalas-rabaud出產的葡萄酒一直擁有較好的品質，80年代的主人Comte Emmanuel de Lambert des Granges將一部分股權賣給了Domaines Cordier——拉佛瑞佩拉酒莊的主人。不過，新股東的加入並沒有改變酒莊的品質，直到80年代末到世紀末，酒莊的酒都非常出色。他們的酒年輕時非常不錯，不過8-10年的窖藏後，酒更加出色。酒莊的葡萄經過採摘、篩選之後，進行壓榨，隨後裝入可控溫的不銹鋼桶中進行發酵，使用全新的橡木桶進行陳釀18-24個月（33%為新桶）。在不同發酵階段，對溫度的嚴格控制最大限度地發揮了不同品種的獨特品質，酒莊的釀酒師是Georges Poly，目前酒莊的葡萄酒出口義大利、比利時、瑞士、英國、德國、美國、中國等多個國家。

Pale lemon in color, the 2014 Sigalas has a wonderfully exotic, tropical fruit scented nose with nuances of honeycomb, fresh ginger, allspice and a touch of lime blossoms. The rich, boldly fruited palate has a zippy line of freshness lifting layer upon layer of pineapple and guava inspired flavors, finishing on a long lingering spicy note.

The 2014 Sigalas Rabaud has a detailed bouquet with pure honey, flint and quince aromas, precise and very well focused. The palate is well balanced with a fresh entry, crisp acidity, notes of tangerine and marmalade furnishing the vibrant and spicy finish.

Tropical in feel, with mango and guava notes holding sway, backed by hints of nectarine, tangerine and bitter almond. The long, piecrust- and coconut-framed finish rolls through languidly.

The wine is all richness—loaded with botrytis and concentration. With its balanced acidity and dried fruit flavors, it's ripe, gorgeous and developing well, if slowly. This will be a great wine, but wait until 2024 to open it.

Delicate saffron, lemon verbena, juniper and yellow apple aromas mingle with lemony botrytis. Fresh and juicy, with lifted fresh citrus and spicy stone fruit flavors. Doesn’t seem sweet at all but finishes long with building sweetness and intriguing notes of crystallised ginger. Outstanding example of lighter-styled Sauternes.
