Chateau Tour du Haut Moulin 2014 Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois 《F781A》

Type:

ABV:

Chateau Tour du Haut Moulin has been owned by the popular Pitou family since they first purchased the estate all the way back in 1870. Today, Chateau Tour du Haut Moulin is managed by a direct descendant of the original founder, Louis Poitou.
In fact, Lionel Poitou and Carol Poitou are the fifth generation in their family to manage Chateau Tour du Haut Moulin. In 2013, the estate updated their image with a new, more modern, embossed design for their label.

To produce the wine of of Chateau Tour du Haut Moulin, vinification takes place in traditional, temperature controlled, cement tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in cement vats. The wine is then aged in about 30% new, French oak barrels for between 12 to 15 months before the wine is bottled.

【Robert Parker 90 pts】
The 2014 Tour du Haut-Moulin has a delightful, perfumed and mineral-scented bouquet with touches of potpourri infusing the black cherry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive depth and freshness, a welcomed saline element washing ashore on the finish. This will need a couple of years to mellow -- but great potential. Tasted September 2016.
