Story

Cubical Gin in its characteristic cube-shaped bottle is distilled at the British Langley Distillery, founded in Birmingham in 1920. It then travels to the William & Humbert distillery, where it acquires its characteristic taste thanks to a wide range of carefully selected, 100% natural botanical ingredients. Thanks to them, Cubical gins rightfully deserve the botanical title. Its main ingredient is a unique citrus called Buddha's Hand, whose thick, sweet peel is rich in essential oils and its taste is not as bitter as other citruses. It got its name due to its unusual shape resembling human fingers. It is also used as a religious offering in Buddhist temples.

Distillation

The secret of Botanic Gin lies in the production process - its distillation takes place in England at the Langley Distillery Ltd., where Ultra Premium Gin is distilled four times. In the second stage, the distillate is transported to Spain, to the Williams & Humbert winery, where the gin gains its individuality by adding a mixture of local plants, the basis of which is the "Buddha's hand". This extra maceration takes place in glass containers for a precisely defined time in order to obtain the maximum aroma from each added herb or fruit. The subsequent distillation takes place in traditional copper containers. Buddha's hand is a type of citrus whose body is divided into sections, reminiscent of the fingers on a hand. This plant originates from northeast India or China, but the fruit used to make Botanic comes from the east coast of Spain. It has a very thin peel and no juice at all. It is not as bitter as other citrus.

Aroma/Taste: Light gin with initial notes of characteristic juniper and a touch of almonds, then a hint of exotic citruses of Buddha's hand (one of the rarest citruses), bergamot and sweet orange develops towards the end

Recommendation

We recommend enjoying this gin with a strong citrus flavor on ice, topped with a properly selected tonic or lemonade in a ratio of 1:3. A good drink deserves a suitable glass. The lead-free, hand-crafted crystal from Moser will satisfy even the most demanding requirements.
