Domaine Overnoy Cotes du Jura Trousseau 2018《WC Selection - F787》

For those who are familiar with the cultwines of the Jura will be familliar with the surname Overnoy. The great PierreOvernoy is one of the cultural icons of the area and has done much for thereputation of France's smallest wine growing region.

Domaine Overnoy is operated by Pierre'snephew, Guillaume - a young man in his 20s who took control of hisfamily's wines in 2013. He now farms 5.5 hectares under vine without the use ofchemicals in Orbagna, Jura. He is one of the region's young gun producersmaking honest wines that follow in the footsteps of the region's great makers.

This is an estate to watch, the talent isthere, as is passion and support. 

Tasting Notes:

Destemmed through the 'crible', the grapes macerated for three weeks before pressing. Fermentation and ageing occurred underground in old 'pièces bourguignonnes'. 10mg/l of SO2 added at bottling only. Lifted and nuanced with spiced fruit, this is an elegant wine with extra drinkability and sapidity, typical of a Sud-Revermont trousseau.
