Hamilton Russell（漢密爾頓酒莊）是南非最南部也是最靠近海邊的的酒莊之一，位於風景優美，氣候涼快，沿海的Hemel-en-Aarde產區，正好在古老的Hermanus漁村後面。該酒莊擅長出產個性突出，帶有明顯風土特徵的Pinot noir和Chardonnay葡萄酒。酒莊所產的Pinot noir和Chardonnay葡萄酒被認為是南非甚至是整個新世界中品質最好的葡萄酒。

Hamilton Russell（漢密爾頓酒莊）創始人是Tim Hamilt。在1975年，他在Russell購買了一塊未開發的170公頃土地開始種植葡萄。到1991年，該酒莊由其孫子Anthony Hamilton接管後，開始大範圍縮小葡萄種植範圍，只種植黑皮諾和霞多麗，並將　Hamilton Russell葡萄園註冊為一個酒莊，承若只種植適合當地風土條件的葡萄。自1994年開始，該酒莊開展廣泛的土壤研究工作，以確認有52公頃的多石、粘土和葉岩土壤，有利於種植優質的土壤，並於1997 年將這片粘土地塊註冊為單一莊園：Hamilton Russell Vineyards。

Aromas of cherries and wild strawberries with dried herbs, paprika, citrus rind and stones. Medium-bodied with round texture. Refined and delicate pinot with juicy character, impressive tension and length. Lingering finish with notes of nut shell and spices. Sustainable.

The 2021 Pinot Noir includes 12% whole bunch, the rest de-stemmed but not crushed, matured for nine months in barrel using 27% new oak. It has quite a potent nose with peppermint-tinged red fruit, fine purity and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with a sappy entry, mainly brambly red fruit, hints of tobacco and a touch of piquancy on the slightly chewy finish. Fine, but give it a couple of years in bottle.
