Thanks to his wedding with Mlle Ledoulx d’Emplet in 1762, The Marquis de Terme named François de Peguilhan became the owner of the winery that will later bear his name.

For more than 120 years, this family was in charge of the winery and strived for excellence and as a result they successfully became part of the very prestigious group of the 1855 classified Châteaux.

Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, the origins of this vintage date back to the 15th century, but its name will be given in 1762, by François de Péguilhan, Marquis de Terme.

The Sénéclauze family, owner since 1935, contributes to the development of the Château Marquis de terme.

Plenty of graphite and a wealth of fresh raspberries and boysenberries, as well as red plums. Chalky finish with powdery tannins. Second wine of Château Bessan. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot.

Slightly high-pitched, featuring cherry notes laced liberally with rose petal and lilac hints, backed by a sanguine thread on the finish.
