Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial Champagne《ZF547》
Champagne Moet & Chandon has a long history, founded in 1743 and now spanning over two centuries. It's said that after Dom Perignon, the Saint Benedict monk known as the "Father of Champagne," invented champagne, the house's founder, Claude Moet, began experimenting with the production of champagne. However, the house remained relatively unknown, and even when his son took over, no major breakthroughs were seen. It wasn't until his grandson, Jean-Rémy Moet, took over the house that the house gained international fame thanks to his acquaintance with Napoleon I, then a young officer. Napoleon was a great fan of Moet & Chandon champagne, and the house's name became known worldwide. After Jean-Rémy Moet's death, his son Victor and son-in-law, Pierre-Gabriel Chandon, inherited the house, which was renamed Champagne Moet & Chandon and has since achieved even greater fame. During the French Revolution, the Hautvillers Abbey and vineyards, where Dom Perignon had resided, were confiscated. Moet & Chandon seized the opportunity and purchased them at auction for a substantial sum. They converted the monastery into a museum and erected a bronze statue of Dom Perignon, attracting champagne lovers to visit as if they were on a pilgrimage. This wise investment established Moet & Chandon as the "authentic champagne world." In 1927, the daughter of another renowned champagne merchant, the Mercier family, married the young master of Moet & Chandon, and the registered trademark "Dom Perignon" came to Moet & Chandon as a dowry. Moet & Chandon immediately named its finest champagne "Dom Perignon," which became an instant success in the United States.
TMoet & Chandon owns 664 hectares of vineyards, and its various champagnes account for a quarter of France's total champagne exports, making it one of France's most iconic champagne brands. The number of bottles of Dom Perignon Selection, the "Prince of Champagne," is never disclosed, but it's estimated to be around 150,000. While typical champagne matures after five years and begins to decline after ten, Dom Perignon Selection takes ten years to reach its peak, and can even survive another ten or twenty years. This may explain its high value as the "Prince of Champagne." In addition to Dom Perignon Selection, Moët & Chandon also produces Dom Perignon Rosé Brut. First produced in 1959, this champagne is a blend of two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay. While not produced every year, outstanding vintages include 1999, 1996, 1985, and 1982. Dom Perignon Rosé Brut was chosen by the Shah of Iran to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of the founding of the ancient Persian Empire. It has now become a popular engagement wine among high-society men and women in Europe and the United States.
Moët Ice Imperial, the first and only champagne designed specifically for iced enjoyment, offers a new champagne experience, combining playfulness, freshness, and freedom while maintaining the Moët style: rich fruit flavors, a hearty palate, and a refreshing, cool finish.
