Nikka Frontier Whisky 500ml《ZTJ219》

Mr. Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka Whisky Distillery Co., Ltd., is considered the father of Japanese whisky. He was the first Japanese to travel to Scotland to learn how to brew whisky. Upon returning to Japan, he assisted Suntory in building the first Yamazaki Distillery in 1924. He then established his own Yoichi Distillery in Yoichi, Hokkaido, Japan in 1934. In its early days, Nikka's predecessor, Dai Nippon Juice Co., Ltd., faced financial difficulties and initially produced locally produced apple juice in Yoichi, branded "Nika Lingo Juice."

Currently owned by Asahi (Asahi Group Holdings), the company's name, derived from the phonetic translation of its predecessor, Dai Nippon Juice Co., Ltd., "Nika," has been changed to Nikka Whisky Distillery Co., Ltd. Nikka currently operates two distilleries in Japan: the Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido and the Miyagi Gorge Distillery in Sendai, producing four different whisky brands: Yoichi, Taketsuru, Miyagi Gorge, and Nikka.
