The Podere di Marcialla farm is located ona green Chianti hill, halfway between Florence and Siena and covers an area of28 hectares of which 13 are vineyards and 8 are olive groves. The recent andambitious project was begun in 2009 from the union of the Anichini andPassaponti families, who have been viticulturists for over 150 years in theterritories of Barberino val d’Elsa and Certaldo.
Today Silvio Anichini, Giovanni and MariaPia Passaponti run their farm with dedication and passion by utilising themethod of organic farming. This is an idea which was realised back in 1988thanks to Giovanni’s respect and love of his land. The farm’s philosophy of"eco-sustainability" is assiduously followed in every detail andtranslates into the daily search for the maximum expression of the terroirwhile fully respecting the environment and its biodiversity

Produced from a careful selection of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and aged in French oakbarriques for about 18 months. It is a wine with great personality andelegance. Ripe fruits and spicy notes. Balsamic and dense tannic finish.
Maturation: 18 months in French oak barriques. This isfollowed by a period of refinement in bottles before being placed on themarket.
Intense ruby red color, tending to garnetwith ageing. Ample and elegant bouquet with hints of small red fruits andspices. Velvety and harmonious texture on the palate. Excellent balance betweenthe tannic matrix and the fruit with a persistent finish
Parings :Red meats, roasted or stewed game. Polentaand mature cheeses.
