Chateau Prieuré-Les-Tours is part of the larger group Domaines de la Mette, which owns 6 Bordeaux wineries and has been managed by Jean-Baptiste Solorzano since 1991. The 6 wineries are:

Château Millet

Château Prieuré-Les-Tours

Château Martin

Château Claron

Château Clos Renon

Château Clos de l’Abbaye

The first 4 wineries are all Graves, and the remaining 2 are Bordeaux Supérieur. 6 wineries cover a total area of 82 hectares, and Graves accounts for 62 hectares. It can be said that they are producing promising Graves with rich experience in the area.

Also the soil of these wineries sharing similar soil, dominated by clay limestone, which is more suitable for Merlot. thus Prieuré-Les-Tours is a wine that dominated by Merlot as well, vineyards surround the ruins of an 18th century monastery near the Garonne estuary. Grapes are harvested at the most ideal maturity. After sorting, it is fermented not only in temperature-controlled stainless steel barrels but also in concrete tanks. The "breathable" characteristics concrete tanks offer more complexity to the wine during fermentation. Finally, it is aged in French Allier wooden barrels for at least 8 months.

Prieuré-Les-Tours also has a white wine.

Although this is not much a story telling wine, however this has won numerous awards in major competitions over the years, including the authoritative wine guide Hachette Guide, this 2019 even won a double gold medal and with Decanter's " Good Value＂ comments, worth a try.

The vineyards of Château Prieuré-Les-Tours surround the ruins of an 18th century monastery near the Garonne estuary. Its Merlot-dominant blend is showing some savoury evolution, with notes of undergrowth and autumn leaves, alongside rich cassis fruit with hints of graphite and toasty spice. A good value Graves.
