Remy Martin is one of the oldest Cognac brands in France, and its most representative wine is Louis XIII. Remy Martin was officially founded by Remy Martin in 1724, nearly 300 years ago. The foreign name of Remy Martin is taken from the name of the founder, while the Chinese name is taken from the Greek mythological image of Remy Martin, which is also the brand logo of Remy Martin. Rémy Martin is the only well-known Cognac brand produced and operated by locals in the Cognac region, and Rémy Martin is one of the few Cognac brands that grows its own grapes.
Rémy Martin is currently owned by Remy Contreau. Over the centuries, Remy Martin has become a recognized high-quality Cognac in the world. Together with Hennessy, Martell and Courvoisier, it is known as the four giants in the Cognac world.
Louis XIII The name Louis XIII comes from the French Emperor Louis XIII. The story goes back to 1850. According to legend, Paul-Emile, the son of the third generation descendant of Remy Martin, discovered an ancient battlefield from the Louis XIII era near Jarnac and accidentally discovered it. A Renaissance Baroque-style wine bottle was discovered with a royal fleur-de-lys decoration on the bottle, indicating that the wine once belonged to the royal family. Therefore, Paul-Emile applied for a patent specifically for this and created a cognac called "Louis XIII" in 1874; in the same year, the Remy Martin figure officially became Remy Martin's trademark. At this point, a new era of Louis XIII began.
As many people know, the quality of cognac depends largely on how long it is aged in oak barrels. Remy Martin's production standards have always been higher than French regulations. The oak barrel aging time of its VS, VSOP and XO all exceed legal standards, and the aging time of Louis XIII has reached 50 years. Moreover, LOUIS XIII is a blend of 1,200 eaux-de-vie, with each bottle passing through the hands of four generations of master winemakers for 50 to 100 years. It is precisely because of this that Louis XIII has become synonymous with the world's top cognac, and it also has the reputation of the "King of Spirits".
The wine bottle is a perfect combination of history and art. It is a treasure bottle originated from the royal family. It has a fleur-de-lys emblem and the words Louis XIII on it, exuding a full royal style. Made by the exclusive craftsmen of the famous crystal brand Baccarat, the bottle neck is carved with 24K pure gold, and the bottom and stopper are engraved with a unique serial number that represents the identity.
Since its birth, Louis XIII has begun to write glory. At the end of the 19th century, Louis XIII was awarded to the royal family; in 1900, Louis XIII won the award at the Paris World's Fair; in 1929, Louis XIII traveled across Europe on the Orient Express; in 1935, the first voyage of Normandy was made Louis XIII was opened in the first class; in 1944, General de Gaulle specially ordered Louis XIII to celebrate Christmas; in 1951, British Prime Minister Churchill used Louis XIII to celebrate his election; in 1957, the Palace of Versailles welcomed Louis XIII Queen Elizabeth II visits France. In short, from heads of state to celebrities, from France and the United Kingdom to the United States and Hong Kong, Louis XIII enjoys a very high reputation.
Once, a corrupt official said regretfully after being sentenced to death: "I have eaten everything, but it is a pity that I have not drunk Louis XIII wine, and I will not be able to drink it in the future." Then, Louis XIII made him regretful for the rest of his life. 3. What does it taste like when you drink it?
There was a passage in the past that said: “Drinking Rémy Martin Louis XIII is like experiencing a magical and wonderful sensory journey. At first, you can taste port wine, walnuts, narcissus, jasmine, passion fruit, lychee and other fruits. The fragrance immediately reveals the aroma of vanilla and cigar; when the alcohol gradually evaporates, the fragrance of iris, violet, rose, and resin is even more memorable. Generally, the aftertaste of brandy can only last fifteen to twenty minutes, but this fragrance and taste are extremely A delicate wine with an aftertaste that lingers for more than an hour.”
