A family
Denis Dubourdieu and his wife Florence are both from old families of Bordeaux winegrowers.They manage with their two sons, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques, a set of domains, of a surface of 135 hectares, in the region of Sauternes, Graves and Cadillac-Côtes de Bordeaux. The annual production of these fields is close to 600,000 bottles of which 60% are exported to more than 40 countries.
History
Château Reynon, in Béguey, in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, was bought in 1958 by Florence Dubourdieu's father, Jacques David; his daughter and son-in-law Denis Dubourdieu, succeeded him in 1976. Thanks to their efforts, Château Reynon is today one of the most renowned wines of Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux.
vineyard
Exclusively maintained by traditional plowing, the soil of our vineyard receives no herbicide. Organic manures are based on vegetable composts.Particular care is taken in the size and disbudding, exclusively carried out by our vine growers, in order to optimize the quality of the harvest and the longevity of the vine.Trimming, stripping and splicing are done by hand with meticulous care.We are engaged in a process of abandoning the use of synthetic chemical pesticides on all our vineyards.Thus "grown like a garden", in an orderly and preserved nature, our vines ripen early concentrated grapes, tasty, possessing the sweetness and aromatic radiance of the fresh fruit that we wish to find in our wines.In order to balance our carbon footprint, we also manage a forest estate equal in size to our vineyards.

Deep gravel on clay subsoils occupy the top of a perfectly drained hill. At mid-slope, the land is clay-limestone and the rock outcrops in places. The foot of the coast has sandy soils.

Winemaking & breeding
The mature harvest, picked by hand, undergoes 20 to 25 days of vatting at a moderate temperature of 25 to 30 ° C. The aging for 12 months is carried out in oak barrels of which a third is new.
Tasting
Château Reynon Rouge has a deep color and melted aromas with liquorice, cassis and smoke; the flavors are velvety, fine and powerful.
Appreciation of the vintage
This property in the heart of the former appellation Premières Côtes de Bordeaux is located in the foothills of the Garonne valley, very precisely in Béguey, a neighboring town of Cadillac. Oenologist Denis Dubourdieu is the proud owner with his sons Jean-Jacques and Fabrice, who are involved full time in the development of wines. Always on the lookout for experiences, it is here, as at Clos Floridène (Graves) that Denis Dubourdieu elaborated and defined the sytle of its reds and its famous dry whites of sauvignon, which largely contributed to its worldwide reputation .
