Tenuta Cucco 酒莊成立於 20 世紀 60 年代，位於 Barolo 五大村之一 Serralunga d’Alba，該村曾被權威專家 Renato Ratti 收進 Barolo 地圖中。“Cucco”一詞來源於當地方言，指的是酒莊所處的山上和一座古老的葡萄園 Vigna Cucco。由於地勢高，此地可俯瞰被聯合國教科文組織列為世界文化遺產的Langhe 地區。

Tenuta Cucco 最初由 Stroppiana 家族持有，一直潛心釀造傳統 Barolo，手工採摘，獨具匠心。直至 2015 年，由 Rossi Cairo 家族收購酒莊，跨時代的更迭成為有機可持續農業專案。此外 Rossi Cairo 還在 Piemonte 的 Gavi 山上擁有一座莊園 La Raia，這是一個超過 15 年 Demeter 認證的生態農場，占地 180 多公頃，包括葡萄園、牧場、耕地和野生動物和鳥類棲息的栗樹林。酒莊堅信，葡萄酒的品質取決於它們出生的環境品質。

Serralunga d’Alba 是 Barolo DOCG 內 11 個分區海拔最高的村莊之一，420米的海拔高度帶來適當的低溫，令果實得以更溫和緩慢的成熟，發展出綿密細緻的獨特結構。這裏土壤石灰質含量較高，石灰岩沙土與紅色砂岩壤土富含微量元素，使酒款風味變得更加複雜，是五大村莊中釀造的酒款最為強勁有力、難以馴服，骨架堅實，非常適宜陳年，具有完美的 Barolo 經典風格。著名的 MGA 特級園包括：Ceretta、Bricco Voghera 和 Lazzarito。

Tenuta Cucco 葡萄園修建在陡峭的坡度上面，占地 13 公頃，機械無法採摘，百分百手工採摘，以 Nebbiolo 為主，還種植Dolcetto、Chardonnay和Barbera。樹齡從 15 歲到 50 年不等，採用精緻化種植與釀造，酒莊產量非常稀少，所有酒款加總也僅有 7 萬瓶的年產量。其中最精華的 Barolo 產自特級園 Cerrati 和 Bricco Voghera。

Tenuta Cucco 葡萄酒的酒標上有很多天使和傳教士的圖案，靈感來源於酒村有一座修建於 1550 年間的教堂——San Sebastiano 教堂，教堂內有許多年代久遠的壁畫，壁畫內容非常豐富，有吹拉彈唱的音樂天使、身著華服的王公貴族，酒標即是根據上面這幅壁畫設計的，非常具有收藏價值。

這款來自特級園 Cerrati Riserva DOCG，是酒莊最高端一款酒，“Vigna Cucco”指的是 Tenuta Cucco 酒莊地塊最好的單一園，海拔高達 380-420 米，面積僅有 1.5 公頃。葡萄手工採摘並立即運到酒莊去梗、破皮，輕微壓榨後，以 26℃ 的溫度在不鏽鋼發酵 10 天，之後在 22℃ 進行浸泡 30 天，蘋果酸乳酸發酵之後，在法國新橡木桶陳釀 36 個月，裝瓶上市前還要瓶陳至少 24 個月。

Very aromatic nose of ripe red berries and red plums, together with leafy and nutty notes. Full-bodied with nicely integrated, polished tannins and a long, focused and flavorful finish. Tempting now, but hold for another few years to allow the wine to broaden and lengthen. Best from 2024, with a long life ahead of it.

Slow wine: A robust wine in which the hints of leather, dark fruit and undergrowth integrate perfectly. The tannin is dense and the evolutionary potential promising.

Tasting notes

This cru is the jewel in the company’s crown. It stands out for its bright ruby red colour with slight orange hues, and its complex and enveloping bouquet, where the varietal hints of wild rose blend with the sweet aroma of cocoa, tobacco and spices. The fruity aspect then emerges, recalling shrivelled blackberries and pressed sour black cherries. Full, harmonious, warm savour, with a slightly dry and complex finish.
