Warre's Vintage Port 2017 華萊士年份波特酒《ZTP757B》

酒莊喺1670年由2個英國人William Burgoyne同John Jackson創立, 起初係一間貿易酒同各類商品嘅公司，中間都經過多次轉手，喺1729年William Warre加入後就創造咗呢個最古老嘅波特酒品牌：Warre's Warrior Reserve Port.

Warre's自1750年就開始出口，去到17世紀尾已經係波特酒嘅領軍酒莊，1791年時有21間酒莊出口30000桶(pipes, 350-600升, 典型為550升)，而Warre's當時已經佔咗10%出口量！

而家管理嘅Symington Family已經有350年嘅波特酒貿易經驗, 一開始嘅Walter Maynard喺1652已經以英國酒商身份貿易波特酒，佢嘅後代Beatrice Atkinson後來嫁咗畀Andrew James Symington, Symington呢個家族名嘅旅程就開始咗.

Andrew James Symington喺1905年加入Warre, 到1908年已經接管Warre, 將歷史悠久嘅家族連上波特酒領軍酒莊.

釀酒方面，Warre's認為用傳統lagares(淺水槽)腳踏踩皮先可以做出最好嘅Port, 所以Warre做出世界第一個模仿人腳踩皮嘅自動機器，成為現代釀Port酒嘅里程碑！

無論喺波特酒貿易同釀酒，Warre's一路以嚟都對波特酒貢獻良多，係高質嘅經典酒莊.

Loads of wet earth and grape aromas with hints of stems. Old vine aromas of bark and moss. Full-bodied, sweet and structured with a big kick on the end. Very impressive. Exceptional layers of fruit and energy. A stronger and more muscular Warre.

Wine Advocate 94-96 pts 

The 2017 Vintage Port is mostly a field blend from old vines (63%), plus 22% Touriga Nacional and 15% Touriga Franca, bottled about a month before this tasting after 18 months in seasoned vats. The just-bottled sample was not actually used for fear it might be in shock, so this is actually a pre-bottling sample. It comes in with 110 grams of residual sugar.
