Chateau Angelus坐落的位置能俯瞰著當地三座教堂。在這個特殊地點的中間，聲音被放大，早上、中午和晚上都能聽到祈禱鐘聲。他們在葡萄園和村莊安排著一天的工作，呼籲男男女女停下手中的勞動，祈禱幾分鐘。偉大的法國印象派畫家讓·弗朗索瓦·米勒在他的宏偉作品《晚禱》中將這一祈禱時刻永久地記錄了下來。酒莊因此使用三個金鐘作爲酒標設計。

酒莊歷史可以追溯至生於 1544 年的波爾多商人Georges Boüard。Boüard家族自1782年已經擁有酒莊。1954年，在聖埃美隆產區第一次分級時，大金鐘酒莊就被評為列級莊（Grands Crus Classes）。此後，酒莊不斷發展進步，至1985年，家族的第七代傳人Hubert de Bouard deLaforest接手管理莊園，兩年後，他的堂兄Jean-Bernard Grenie也加入到酒莊管理者的行列，進一步幫助提升莊園葡萄酒的品質。在1996年聖埃美隆列級酒莊評級中，大金鐘酒莊順利升級為一級B等酒莊（Premiers Grands CrusClasses B）。2012年，酒莊憑藉出色表現，由一級B等酒莊進一步榮升為聖埃美隆一級A等酒莊，與大名鼎鼎的白馬酒莊（Chateau Cheval Blanc）、歐頌酒莊（Chateau Ausone）和柏菲酒莊（Chateau Pavie）齊名。

目前，酒莊已傳至第八代傳人Stephaniede Bouard-Rivoal及其表弟ThierryGrenie-de Bouard手中。金鐘葡萄園的葡萄園共有40餘畝，位於當地朝南的山坡和坡腳處，處於一個形同階梯式的圓形氣候帶中央。這裡擁有理想的穗條件，夏季極度炎熱，能夠促進葡萄達到完美的成熟度。得益於坡度，土壤能夠自然排水。葡萄園內主要在黏土基質的土壤上種植Merlot、在黏土上面著沙質石灰岩的土壤上種植Cabernet Franc，也有比例不超過5%的Cabernet 和Petit Verdot。種植在坡腳處偏保覆蓋的土壤中。獨特的風土賦予了這裡生產的葡萄酒的平衡和豐富的多元風味。

Carillond'Angelus 是Saint Emilion名莊ChateauAngelus的副牌酒款，是Chateau Angelus 是 Bouard Laforest 家族共八代人的熱情工作展現。Angelus 風格就是果敢的葡萄樹和獨一無二風土的結合，多年來都喜歡使用高比例的Cabernet Franc，口感豐富、濃鬱、成熟、華麗、前衛，所有甜美、成熟的李子、櫻桃、甘草和可可的味道在口感上就像絲綢般順滑。

Composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, themedium to deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Le Carillon d'Angélus rolls out ofthe glass with upfront notions of baked plums, stewed black cherries andraspberry pie, plus suggestions of potpourri, Chinese five spice, tilled soiland tobacco leaf. The medium to full-bodied palate is generous and spicy,supported by soft tannins and just enough freshness, finishing savory.
