位於埃佩爾奈（Epernay）的Champagne G.H. Martel＆Co.，建立於1869年，是全球第五大香檳集團由來自於馬恩（Marne）的Rapeneau家族世代經營，Victoire 中的老鷹有勝利的含意。

Rapeneau家族原先即已生產並銷售葡萄酒，烈酒以及香檳，由於熱表於香檳的歷史，以及鄰近香檳產區葡萄園的地理位置，Rapeneau家族決定專注於香檳的生產釀造，自1900年取得經營權，經歷數十年至今，完全由家族成員管理經營。ChristopheRapeneau是家族第四代釀酒師，也是Champagne G.H. Martel＆Co.的酒窖管理師與釀酒師。

目前G.H. Martel & Co.是全球第五大香檳集團，旗下擁有七個香檳酒莊：ChampagneCharles de Cazanouve (Reims, 1811)、Champagne G.H. Martel & Co. (Epernay, 1869)、Champagne VieilleFrance (Reims, 1860)、Champagne Chateau de Bligny (Côte des Bars, 1733)、Champagne Paul LouisMartin (Bouzy, Montagne de Reims, 1864)、Champagne Charles Orban (Troissy, Vallee de la Marne, 1770)、Champagne Mansard(Epernay, 1953)。

產區 Region

蘭斯山(Montagne de Reims)地理位置偏北，溫度較低，葡萄成熟較慢，葡萄酸度高，因此該產區所產的葡萄是製造香檳的最佳原料。

蘭斯山產區的土壤以白堊土為主，但是相比另外一個香檳產區白丘（Cote de Blancs），其表層土含有更多的黏土，因而更適合種植Pinot Noir，所以該產區有“Pinot Noir王國”之稱。

有關釀造 Winemaking

釀造是在混合之前根據風土進行的。真正的精確和專業知識的工作，正是混合的藝術賦予了我們的香檳獨特和久負盛名的品質。它們主要由霞多麗釀製而成，在地窖中存放 24 個月，以保證香氣的漸進和最佳發展。
