(Maison Charles De Cazanove is one of the flagship wineries of the world's fifth largest Champagne group, Champagne G.H. Martel & C°, which was first established in 1869 by Mr. Tabourin, but was transferred to the Rapeneau family in 1979 due to a lack of heirs. In the absence of a successor, it passed to the Rapeneau family in 1979 and has been run by three generations of Rapeneau's. The Rapeneau family has been involved in the wine business in the region since the early 19th century and under their management the business has flourished with seven Champagne houses: Champagne Charles de Cazanouve (Reimanouve), Champagne GH Martel & C°, Champagne GH Martel & C°, Champagne GH Martel & C°, Champagne GH Martel & C°, Champagne GH Martel & C°. Cazanouve (Reims, 1811), Champagne G.H. Martel & Co. (Epernay, 1869), Champagne Vieille France (Reims, 1860), Champagne Chateau de Bligny (Côte des Bars, 1733), Chateau de Bligny (Côte d'Azur, 1733), Chateau de Bars (Côte d'Azur, 1733), and Chateau de Bars (Côte d'Azur, 1733). Bars, 1733), Champagne Paul Louis Martin (Bouzy, Montagne de Reims, 1864), Champagne Charles Orban (Troissy, Vallee dela Marne, 1770), Champagne Mansard (Epernay, 1953). With annual sales of 2 million bottles, it is the fifth largest Champagne group.
(The Maison Charles De Cazanove, the oldest winery in the Reims region, was founded in 1811, but the story of the De Cazanove family begins in the 16th century, when the Bigeault family, known for their glassware, sent their sons to Venice, then home to some of the world's best glassmakers, to learn the art of glassmaking. In the 16th century, the Bigeault family was known for its glassware. When he returned to France, he changed the family name to “Cazanove” (Casanova in Italian), meaning “New House”.
In 1811, Charles Gabriel De Cazanove founded the winery and moved the family to Avize, in the Côte des Blancs region, where his son Charles Nicolas developed the champagne brand. Not only was he respected as a leading figure in the local Chamber of Commerce, but he also helped the people of Europe during the phylloxera ravages, and in 1902, when King Edward II received a bottle of Charles De Cazanove's unsweetened champagne from 1893, he was so amazed that he shipped a batch of Charles De De Cazanove's champagne to the UK with a custom label for him. Cazanove Champagne to England.
Over the generations, this renowned Champagne house has been acquired by several major groups, including Martini & Rossi, Moët - Hennessy Group and S. A. M. E. Group, before it was finally placed under the umbrella of G.H. Martel, the world's fifth-largest Champagne group, where it is the flagship Champagne house. The winery currently produces around 3 million bottles a year and uses stainless steel barrels for primary fermentation in the traditional chalk cellar, although smaller oak barrels are used when the winemaker feels it is necessary to add rich vanilla and cream flavors.

Champagne is a 100% French product. The wine region it comes from is located in France, some 90 miles east of Paris. This is the only place in the world that it is made.

Today, Charles de Cazanove boasts state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and technology, producing over three million bottles of champagne annually. Grapes are primarily fermented in stainless steel vats. However, oak barrels are sometimes used to enhance the flavor and richness of the champagne. According to traditional custom, the champagne is aged in chalk cellars.
