著名酒評家Robert Parker曾形容 :「這是一款傑出的Haut Medoc，如果當時有參加1855年分級的話，應該可以被列為第五級」但可惜的是在1855年分級過程中，當時酒莊主人Louis Delbos因為寄不了樣辦給大會，令其參選不到1855分級，成為永遠的遺憾，最後只能在1932中級莊分級得到Cru Bourgeois Superieur的評級...

這也是有風土條件做理據的，Chateau Lanessan 位置離Saint Julien很近，83公頃的葡萄園就正正面向Saint Julien二級莊Gruaud Larose，差不多是鄰接，連神級釀酒興問Eric Boissenot都說："The Lanessan vineyards are lucky to have an exceptional terroir."！而William Kelley也提及過其風土的優越～

由1793年創立，到2009年八代人都是由Bouteiller家族所有，到2009年交棒給充滿活力的年輕女釀酒師 Paz Espejo。

Paz 著重環境，接手後很快獲得High Environmental Value level 3最高級環境保護證書。2012年後的釀酒技術開始穩定成熟，正牌葡萄園佔精華的32公頃，土壤充滿礫石，平均30年老藤，更在2015年引入光學篩選機，逐漸改善設備，更有效精選葡萄！加上曾擔任Latour, Margaux, Lafite釀酒師的Eric Boissenot做釀酒顧問撐住！品質已經在顯著進步，重點是還未跟上的價位！

看到這麼好的評語和tasting note相信就算沒有分級都肯定是有質素的保證～值得酒友留意的是Penfolds就在剛剛幾個月完成了對Lanessan的收購，證明他的潛力和價值再一次受肯定！也肯定是未來幾年要加緊留意的波爾多潛力之星，是時候試定收購前後的變化！

This is showing aromas of currants, wild bramble berries, bell peppers and hints of anise. It’s fresh with a medium body, crunchy and medium-firm tannins and a juicy, fruit-forward finish. Drink after 2024.

A successful effort, the 2021 Lanessan exhibits aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and loamy soil, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and supple palate that's fleshy and enveloping, framed by powdery tannins and bright acids. I suspect this estate could aim even higher, but they have produced an attractive 2021. Tasted three times.
