Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)坐落於法國波爾多的Pomerol(波美侯)產區。據《La Revue du Vin de France》(葡萄酒評論)於2017年發佈的專欄顯示,在1943年法國Vichy政府列出的波美侯名莊分級中,Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)榮居“四級莊(4es Crus Classes)”之列。這個分級制度雖未獲得官方認可,但也向世人展示了Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)的實力與名望。
Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)的歷史頗為悠久,可追溯至19世紀中後期,起初為Garitey家族所有。1917年,酒莊被Petrus酒莊當時的擁有者Madame Loubat收歸麾下。1961年,Loubat去世後,酒莊由其侄女Lily Lacoste繼承。2002年,Lacoste家族將酒莊捐贈給一家名為Chateauneuf de Galaure的慈善機構。不過自1962年以來,Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)一直由酒業巨頭Moueix家族代為管理。
酒莊共擁有8公頃葡萄園,種植了90% Merlot及10% Cabernet Franc,葡萄樹平均樹齡為25年。園內土壤類型多樣,鄰近教堂的部分由礫石及黏土構成,環繞酒莊的部分則由黏土及砂壤土構成。多元化的土質賦予了Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)葡萄酒出色的複雜度與平衡度。
Moueix家族一直以管理自家園地的標準來照料Chateau Latour a Pomerol(拉圖波美侯酒莊)的葡萄園,實行細緻的葡萄園管理工作,例如通過疏枝剪葉和綠色採收等手段來促進葡萄成熟,以及人工採摘達到理想成熟狀態的葡萄。到達釀酒車間後,葡萄需經過嚴格的人工篩選及光學篩選後才能進入釀酒環節,其中大部分會被置於水泥罐中發酵,另有小部分則採用不銹鋼罐發酵。酒精發酵結束後,大部分酒液會被轉入不銹鋼罐中進行蘋果酸-乳酸發酵(Malolactic Fermentation),剩餘部分則在橡木桶中進行。之後,酒液還需在新桶比例為40%的法國橡木桶中熟成16-18個月。

A beautiful wine from the Moueix stable of right bank offerings, the 2009 Latour a Pomerol displays a dense plum/ruby/purple color along with a bouquet of mocha, roasted nuts, wood smoke, truffles and sweet cherries. Full-bodied, round and generous with sweet tannin, considerable power and no hard edges, this is a surprisingly up-front, precocious effort that can be drunk now or cellared for two decades.

Good deep ruby-red. Superripe aromas of blackberry, bitter chocolate and mocha show an almost liqueur-like quality and are complemented by sexy, oaky torrefaction. Very supple, tactile and sweet, but with sound balancing acidity giving lift and definition to the ripe blueberry and cassis flavors. Finishes very fresh and long, with toothdusting but very smooth tannins that will call for several years of bottle aging. An excellent and impressively concentrated Latour a Pomerol that comes across as refined and lively for all its power and density.
