1984年，Chateau Rieussec酒莊成為拉菲羅斯柴爾德集團（Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite）產業之一，並由此迎來了一個重要的發展時期。為了充分挖掘這片風土的潛力，拉菲羅斯柴爾德集團採取了一系列措施，如新建酒窖和釀造車間，為葡萄篩選間和壓榨室增添現代化設備等。酒莊的葡萄園位於Sauternes村和Fargues村的山丘上，東面毗鄰滴金酒莊（Chateau d'Yquem）。

拉菲萊斯古堡酒莊（Chateau Rieussec，又名：萊斯古堡）坐落於法國波爾多Sauternes產區，以出產馥鬱甜美的貴腐甜白葡萄酒而聞名。在1855年Sauternes及巴薩克（Barsac）分級中，Chateau Rieussec酒莊與其它10座蘇玳名莊一同被列為一級莊（Premier Grand Cru Classe），排在Sauternes分級的金字塔塔身頂部。

作為Sauternes最大的酒莊之一，Chateau Rieussec酒莊僅葡萄園面積就多達93公頃。園內種植著蘇玳典型的葡萄品種，以賽美蓉（Semillon）為主，此外還包括7%的長相思（Sauvignon Blanc）和3%的密斯卡岱（Muscadelle）。在葡萄園的管理上，Chateau Rieussec酒莊遵循Sauternes傳統，根據葡萄的成熟度和貴腐葡萄的生長情況，分批採摘葡萄。

為了保證酒質，這款酒的年產量變化很大——遇到不理想的年份，如1977、1993和2012年，酒莊直接放棄這款酒的出品；有生產的年份，分數基本都達到90分以上，2009年Robert Parker 更是給予了97的高分。

This takes a minute to lift out of the glass, with a focus on texture more than aromatics, but it’s highly attractive with a luscious, gorgeous texture and flavours that are concentrated but elegant and fine, showing touches of mandarin, saffron and spice alongside a creamy citrus mid-palate.

Very clean and fresh with banana, pineapple and papaya character and hints of honey. Medium-to full-bodied, sweet and crisp. Lively finish. Jasmine and acacia with hints of spice. Slightly crisper style. More sauvignon than normal.
