Chateau Grand Corbin Manuel 這間只有 7-8 公頃的精品酒莊位於著名產區Saint Emilion (聖埃美倫)的西北部，就在與 Pomerol 的邊界上，所以都有著部份帶 Pomerol 藍色黏土的葡萄園！酒莊成立於1855年，當中經歷過多番承繼及轉讓，終在2005年由Gaye家族所接手，現任莊主為Stephane de Gaye 。Gaye家族所擁有的酒莊還包括分級為Bordeaux Supérieur 的Château Saint Barbe和位於Pomerol的Château La Creation。Stephane de Gaye在Gaye家族一直也是擔當重要角色，包括釀酒及管理的工作，他經常帶住以下格言去勉勵自己及酒莊員工要以出品高品質葡萄酒為目標:

"The wine is a passion and a profession in our family for many generations. I wanted to revive this culture and realize a dream entirely due to a passion intact. Daily monitoring of the vineyard and attention to every moment in the wine aging are needed to design a high quality product, and we know that quality is never a coincidence."

在2006年Stephane的女兒Yseult de Gaye加入了酒莊擔任釀酒師，不但在釀酒上加多點新活力元素，女兒還擔任Marketing及Communication，把酒莊的高質紅酒推廣到全世界。

葡萄園位置優越所以地點非常接近Saint Emilion 及 Pomerol 的”Premier Grand Crus”，受當地附近的優質風土所影響 (附近名莊有Ch. Cheval Blanc、Ch. Chauvin等….)，所出品的酒質不但高質，而且具備了Saint Emilion及Pomerol 典型的”果味濃”影子。園內主要種植Merlot、Cabernet Franc及Cabernet Sauvignon。葡萄滕平均樹齡為35年，種植密度為每公頃6600棵。

酒莊採用全人手採摘，均確保完美熟成才採收。葡萄採摘後會經過溫控發酵，再導入法國橡木桶 (60%為新桶) 陳熟14-18個月以增加複雜度。

The 2016 Grand Corbin Manuel has a gorgeous bouquet of vibrant red cherry and blackcurrant notes with just a hint of vanilla from the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, harmonious and focused with well judged acidity and a finish that just seems to "flow". There is a touch of dustiness on the finish but that should disappear by the time of bottling. Very fine, though it should be afforded three or four years in bottle.
