Laurent-Perrier Champagne House was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot in Tours-sur-Marne and was named after him. Pierlot later bequeathed the house to then-winemaker Eugene Laurent and his wife, Mathilde Emilie Perrier. After Eugène Laurent's death in 1887, Mathilde Emilie Perrier took over the house. Under her leadership, Laurent-Perrier became one of the most successful champagne houses before the outbreak of World War I.

In 1939, the de Nonancourt family purchased Laurent-Perrier, and in 1948, the house passed to Bernard de Nonancourt. Over the next 50 years, under his stewardship, Laurent-Perrier Champagne transformed itself from a Champagne house ranked in the bottom 100 to the third largest champagne house today, with production increasing over 100-fold. Until his death in 2010 at the age of 90, Bernard was considered the most important figure in establishing the house's modern image. His two daughters are currently the owners of the house.

House Laurent-Perrier Champagne is located in Tours-sur-Marne, a picturesque village nestled at the intersection of the Marne department's three main wine-growing regions: the Reims Mountains, the Marne Valley, and the Blancs Mountains. The house's wines are distinctive: fresh, pure, and elegant. Each cuvée tells a unique story and possesses a unique character, informed by the winemaker's bold and innovative winemaking methods and relentless pursuit of pleasure. Year after year, the winemakers adhere to strict blending standards and aging schedules to ensure consistent quality. Laurent-Perrier is part of the eponymous Laurent-Perrier Group, which also owns prestigious Champagne brands such as Salon and its sister brands Delamotte, Lemoine, and de Castellane. In 2004, the group also acquired Château Malakoff.
