酒莊歷史

Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）的歷史最早可以追溯到160年前。早在19世紀80年代，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）就已經建成，並根據當地的地名取名為樂凱酒莊（Domaine du Gay）。從1872年直到第一次世界大戰結束，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）兩次易主。最終在1946年歸入了著名的Robin姐妹——Therese Robin和Marie Robin名下。此後的60年裏，Robin姐妹共同持有並經營Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）。1984年，Therese Robin逝世後，Christian Moueix接管了酒莊。

2001年，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）的另一個主人Marie Robin也辭世了。由於Marie Robin沒有子嗣，其繼承人Jacques Guinaudea因不堪巨額遺產稅的重負而被迫將酒莊出售。當時，外界廣泛認為莫埃爾家族會成為Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）的新主人。但出人意料的是，最後入主Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）的是Catherine Pere-Verge，其父是玻璃以及水晶製品行業的巨擘——Jacques Durand。2002年，Catherine 以2,500萬美元的高價將Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）收入麾下，這是繼維奧萊酒莊（Chateau la Violette）、蒙威酒莊（Chateau Montviel）和特裏斯坦酒莊（Chateau Tristan）之後屬於她名下的第4座酒莊。後來，Catherine 因為癌症不幸去世。現在，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）依然由Catherine 創建的酒商企業Vignobles Pere-verge公司經營和管理。在這一百多年的歷史長河裏，酒莊打造了眾多品質優秀且極具個性的酒款，屢獲酒評家高分好評。酒莊2009年份的正牌酒——Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）紅葡萄酒（Chateau Le Gay, Pomerol, France）曾入選羅伯特·帕克（Robert Parker）“波爾多神奇20”（Magical 20）榜單，其實力可見一斑。

Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）鄰近聲名卓著的帕圖斯（Petrus）和老色丹（Vieux Chateau Certan），風土條件卓越。著名飛行釀酒師米歇爾·羅蘭（Michel Rolland）曾評價道：“懂行的人說到波美侯時，必然要談波美侯高地（Pomerol Plateau），而Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）便有著該地優質的園地之一。”

葡萄園

Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）的葡萄園占地10.5公頃，園內以波美侯高地典型的黏土和礫石土壤為主，種有90%梅洛（Merlot）和10%品麗珠（Cabernet Franc），葡萄藤平均樹齡近50年。除此之外，在紅魚酒莊（Chateau Rouget）附近也擁有一處葡萄園，而風土最好的則要數與柏圖斯之花酒莊（Chateau La Fleur-Petrus）毗鄰的一塊葡萄園。在葡萄園管理上，酒莊嚴格控制產量，以培育出風味濃郁的釀酒果實。

在葡萄酒釀造上，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）崇尚簡單自然的釀酒理念，致力於釀造尊重風土和果實本身特色的葡萄酒。酒莊採用100%微釀酒技術（Micro Vinification），葡萄的浸漬與發酵都直接在橡木桶中進行。

自2014年起，為了更精准地展現每個地塊的風土特性，酒莊開始使用100%全新的小型法國橡木桶對酒液進行發酵和為期16-18個月的陳釀，成酒風味凝練，口感奢華，極具深度，很好地詮釋了Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）優越的風土特色。

樂凱酒莊（Chateau Le Gay）的釀酒顧問是著名的飛行釀酒師米歇爾·羅蘭（Michel Rolland），釀酒師是Marcelo Pelleriti，酒莊發佈的葡萄酒主要是Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）紅葡萄酒（Chateau Le Gay），每年僅出產20,000瓶，Chateau Le Gay（樂凱酒莊）旗下的副牌酒為樂凱酒小城堡（Manoir de Gay）。

A tight and racy red with walnut skin, pecan nuts, chili and spice. Blackberry. Full body, round texture. Chewy. Very promising. Like the great Le Gays from the 1980s.

Barrel Tasting. Goes for a showy style and pulls it off, with a cashmere feel to the layers of warm fig, blackberry coulis and plum reduction. Ganache and warm espresso notes line the hedonistic finish.

A more elegant, lightly textured effort than some top past vintages, the 2015 Le Gay comes from a tiny estate in Pomerol and is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought up all in new oak. It has terrific complexity in its darker fruits, tobacco leaf, violets, new leather and even meaty aromas and flavors. These carry to a full-bodied, perfectly balanced 2015 that has fine, fine tannin and a great finish.

The 2015 Le Gay comes from the 6.5-hectare Pomerol estate, of which 2.09 hectares are currently being restructured. It is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc picked from 27 September until 8 October at one degree lower alcohol than Montviel; it has a fragrant bouquet with delineated red cherries, crushed strawberry and hints of vanilla from the 100% new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, ripe and rounded in the mouth, very well balanced and very smooth. This just glides across the mouth and once that new oak has been absorbed, this will be a gorgeous Le Gay to behold.
