The wine is brewed at Nuiton Beaunoy winery, a member of the Vignerons Associes cooperative. The goal of this cooperative is to provide high-quality wines to consumers at reasonable prices and to bring a sense of accomplishment to the winemakers and employees in the member wineries. The winery has been established since 1957 and is located in the Cote d’Or region. Now the winery’s grape fields in Burgundy cover up to more than 50 villages with a total area of ​​456 hectares. The wines produced range from Regional to Villages to Premier Crus and Grands Crus. The winery has been committed to implementing "Sustainable Development", such as bottling with eco-friendly wine bottles, reducing waste of unnecessary resources, improving workers' environmental awareness, even reducing the use of sulfur, protecting soil, etc.

The Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune appellation, established in 1961 and translating to "Upper Côte de Beaune," refers to the red, white, and rosé wines produced from vineyards on the southern slopes of the Côte d'Or. This designation is distinct from the more prestigious vineyards located on the mid-slopes, which comprise the Côte de Beaune's 18 villages and eight Grand Cru appellations.

The entire Hautes Côtes de Beaune covers approximately 800 hectares, but produces less than 5 million bottles annually. The vast majority of wines are red, primarily Pinot Noir. Chardonnay is the most common white grape, accounting for approximately 20% of the appellation's production. Rosé, also primarily Pinot Noir, accounts for only a small portion of the total.

The terroir, particularly the climate, of the Hautes Côtes region differs significantly from that of the lower slopes to the east. The vineyards' higher altitudes, ranging from 280 to 550 meters, mean that grapes sometimes struggle to fully ripen, resulting in wines with less richness and complexity. To mitigate the effects of the cool climate, vineyards in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune are typically planted on south- and west-facing slopes, which maximize the exposure of the grapes to the warm sunlight. In terms of soil composition, vines are primarily planted on marl soils, rather than the chalky soils that dominate the lower slopes.
