Chateau Plantey is one of the wineries in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, France. It is on the list of Cru Bourgeois released by L'Alliance des Crus Bourgeois in 2020.

‍The current owner Claude Meffre (Claude Murphy), Planty’s current vineyard area is 27 hectares, of which 55% of the land is used to cultivate Merlot grapes, and 45 % Of the land is used to cultivate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, all of which have an average age of 30 years.

Pauillac is located in Haut Medoc on the left bank of Bordeaux, France. In the grading system in 1855, a total of 2 Premier Grand Cru (first-class wineries) were selected: Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Latour, and in 1973 it was upgraded from a second-class winery to Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a first-class winery, currently has 3 first-class wineries in Pauillac, which shows that the Pauillac region has top terroir.

hand-picked grapes, after 12 months of ageing in French wooden barrels, 25% new wooden barrels, you can experience the typical style of Bordeaux after the entrance. I believe that wine lovers who are familiar with Pauillac will like this wine very much . The tannins are strong when not waking up. After 45mins, the tannins gradually soften, with blackberry, blackcurrant, graphite aromas, and leather, floral, mineral and other scents. The entrance is smooth, the tannins are detailed and the layers are complex. Although the wine is medium-bodied, the skeleton is large, and the barrel flavor is well balanced.

This Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine comes from a small Pauillac vineyard. Bold tannins and exuberant blackberry fruits are strongly present, with hints of perfume from wood aging.
