之前介紹意大利酒莊 Tenuta Fanti 的出品,今次到了酒莊 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG,地理位置與 Rosso di Montalcino DOC 一模一樣,位於意大利中部 Montalcino。Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 的法規更加嚴格,同樣地,用上 100% Sangiovese 去釀造,最少要陳存 5 年,而其中 2 年要用木桶陳熟,Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 近年備受飲家所追捧。
種植最多葡萄,佔意大利全部葡萄 10%

中等程度紅寶石色,不會太深色
香氣:
酸的紅車厘子,花香,草本,甘草,中身至厚身,高酸,高單寧

Very dark in color, with aromas of raisin,blackberry jam, espresso and nuts. Full-bodied, with loads of powerful fruitand big, velvety tannins. Superconcentrated, layered and dense, with thestructure of a great 1945 claret, such as Latour. Still a blockbuster.Spellbinding. Needs a little time. *Highly Recommended*

The 1999 Brunello di Montalcino, good as itis, is rather perplexing. A dark ruby in color with much black currant fruit,mocha, and vanilla on the nose, its sizeable and supple body and its lengthy,warm, and velvety finish are those of a high class wine, but not a wine whichseems to have much to do with Sangiovese and Montalcino.

Rich, dark and lush, with liqueur-likearomas wafting upward from a sea of purple. An obvious entry into the 'modern'category of Brunello. There’s jammy, mouthcoating fruit and only modestacidity. Detractors may find it heavy and bruising, but fans will adore itsweight and creaminess.

Very, very deep purplish crimson. Intenseand dramatic nose. It's a firework! Lots of dramatic oak. In barrique from“nine months until it's perfect”, according to the winemaker. Very good for themodern style. Well balanced.

The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino immediately reminds you of the austerity and brawn inherent to this important category of wine. Brunello is released five years after the harvest precisely to allow complexity to develop in the bottle. That careful evolution has transpired nicely here. The wine shows dark plum and dried blackberry in a leading role, with spice, tar, tobacco and campfire ash at the back. The tannins are present but on the soft side, and the wine weighs in with medium-rich fruit weight. Some 51,000 bottles were made.

Sleek and focused, with a supple feel to the cherry, raspberry, hibiscus and chalky mineral flavors. Well-balanced, finishing with a crisp feel now that should stretch out nicely in time. Best from 2025 through 2042. 4,300 cases made, 2,000 cases imported.

The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino opens like a spice box full of exotic treasures. Steeped cherries, crushed cranberries, violet pastille, spiced blood orange and dusty rose can all be found as it opens in the glass. It splashes across the palate, full of energy and juicy in style, with a seductive core of ripe wild berry fruits and inner florals. This doesn't miss a beat, finishing amazingly fresh and vibrant, with nuances of blackberry and sour citrus framed by a subtle staining of fine tannins. Fanti really outdid themselves; the 2018 Brunello is a beauty.

Sour and cooked cherries, oranges, milk chocolate and red licorice. Fruity and succulent with a medium to full body and creamy tannins. Ripe and velvety finish.
