Le Clos du Caillou Chateauneuf du Pape Les Quartz 2000《ZTF326》
酒莊起源可追溯至1895年,最初是 Élie Dussaud 建立的狩獵保護區,1936年因拒絕政府勘測而被排除在 Chateauneuf du Pape 教皇新堡法定產區之外。 1955年,Paul Pouizin 購得這片土地並開始種植葡萄,其子 Claude Pouizin 在1970年代正式裝瓶銷售。如今,酒莊由克勞迪之女 Sylvie Vacheron 及其子女Marilou和Axel共同管理,釀酒團隊由 Bruno Gaspard 和顧問 Philippe Cambie 領銜,延續著家族五代人的耕耘。

酒莊以「尊重風土、追求純粹」為核心,採用手工採摘和去梗,結合冷浸漬和自然發酵,紅葡萄酒在混凝土罐、大橡木桶(Foudres)和少量新桶中陳釀12-18個月,部分高端酒類使用粘土雙耳瓶實驗。白葡萄酒則在不銹鋼罐中發酵以保留果香。值得一提的是,酒莊的羅納河谷法定產區葡萄酒(如La Réserve)雖因歷史原因未被納入教皇新堡,但品質可媲美頂級產區酒,被譽為“隱藏的教皇新堡”。

The 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Quartz is beautiful as well, with complex garrigue, spiced meats, bouquet garni and pepper emerging from the glass. It has a full-bodied, open, sexy and yet concentrated feel on the palate, and I love its overall purity of fruit. While it’s more evolved than the 2001, it should cruise for another couple of years, although certainly, there is no reason to hold off.

Component #l, all grenache: Medium ruby. Cassis, roasted plum andanimal fur on the nose. Fat and round, with moderate acidity. Finishes witha note of sappy kirsch and substantial tannins. #2, grenache from classicgalets roules: Medium ruby. Classic, perfumed Chateauneuf du Papearomas of red fruits, leather and game. Great sweetness and density in themouth; a distinct step up from the first sample in texture andconcentration. Really lovely mouthcoating flavors of black fruits andunderbrush. Finishes with fine tannins and great persistence. This wouldmake a great wine on its own. #3, syrah aging in a new foudre: Saturateddark ruby to the rim. Very sweet, superripe, distinctly wild nose combinescassis, violet, game and pepper. Hugely sweet and chewy, with wonderfulfat for the variety (14.5% alcohol!) and great sauvage syrah character. Thisshould make a superb blend.
