瓏岱酒莊(Domaine de Long Dai)坐落於山東蓬萊的丘山山谷(Qiu Shan Valley)產區,與拉菲古堡(Chateau Lafite Rothschild)同屬拉菲羅斯柴爾德男爵酒業公司〔Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)〕旗下。

 

“瓏岱”二字承載著羅斯柴爾德(Rothschild)家族的希冀,寓意著酒莊所產葡萄酒融合了人們的悉心耕耘與自然的卓越風土,是中國傳統與現代文明的融會貫通,更是祖輩經驗與前衛精神的完美結合。“瓏”有“如玉器般精雕細琢”之意,同時也是農民們用於祈願豐收的器具;山東泰山作為華夏文明的代表,以“岱”為名旨在致敬齊魯大地的光輝歷史,生動地詮釋了此座聖山所蘊藏的理想觀念。

 

2008年,拉菲羅斯柴爾德男爵酒業公司在中國多個產區開展調研,最終決定選址丘山山谷。2011年,瓏岱酒莊種下了第一株葡萄藤。2019年,酒莊發佈了其第一個年份的葡萄酒。到了2023年,瓏岱已走過15載歲月。受到《論語·為政》中“吾十有五而志於學”的啟發,酒莊將這一年稱為“志學之年”——正如走向成熟的翩翩少年,瓏岱酒莊立足丘山山谷,不斷探索當地風土和釀酒技藝,學無止境,步履不停。

 

瓏岱酒莊紅葡萄酒的釀造遵循波爾多傳統釀造方法。酒精發酵在不銹鋼罐中進行,根據葡萄品種的不同特性,酒莊為每個發酵罐量身定制工藝流程,發酵過程持續20至26天,確保單寧和顏色萃取層層深入。為了在濃郁度和清新感之間達到平衡,釀造團隊適度縮短了馬瑟蘭(Marselan)的浸漬時間。酒液經蘋果酸-乳酸發酵(Malolactic Fermentation)後,團隊精選品質上乘的部分進行混合調配,完成調配的葡萄酒隨即進入18個月的橡木桶陳釀期,其使用的橡木桶均源於拉菲羅斯柴爾德男爵酒業公司的波爾多制桶廠。

Complex, perfumed nose of lavender, clove, potpourri, bark, sandalwood, black cherry, blackcurrant, sweet tobacco and musk. It’s full-bodied with firm, ultra fine and velvety tannins. Plenty of dark fruit and spice with dried tobacco leaves. The deep fruit and density goes on for minutes. A step up from the last vintages. Give this several years to come together. But already fantastic. Blend of cabernet sauvignon, marselan and cabernet franc. Drink from 2024.

The 2018 Domaine de Long Dai has a deep purple appearance reminiscent of the second wine Hu Yue—whose inaugural vintage is also 2018—but deeper in intensity of appearance on the nose and palate. There’s an immediately fragrant bouquet of lifted, floral, dark fruit with distinct blueberry, black cherry and black plum and violet—all typical of ripe Marselan—complemented by a herbaceous hint and some new-oak notes of clove, toast and smoke. On the palate, 2018 Long Dai has considerable ripe, chewy and fine-grained tannins with some lifting acidity, relatively well-integrated alcohol and a fragrant core of dark black fruit flanked by toasted new oak. This is Long Dai’s second vintage release and is a richer, more extracted wine than the 2017, which also shows the influence of August 2018’s drought conditions. It’s also a step up in quality from the 2017 vintage, showing greater length and better integration of tannin, acid and alcohol, all marrying better with the abundant fruit. While it is far too early to talk about Long Dai having a signature of its own—not only because of the only two vintages to date and very different ones at that—the 2018 nevertheless shares that brightness of acid and comparative "freshness" of style that is also exhibited in the 2017, a marker of Penglai’s moderate to warm maritime climate. The "danger" for the 2018 Long Dai is its immediate approachability, but it is undeniably a youthful wine that will repay cellaring over the next 7-8 years.
