"Alain Michelot is a large, bluff, friendly individual in his early sixties, his ginger hair and beard now grey, and he works with his daughter Edolie from headquarters off the main road which runs through the middle of Nuits-Saint-Georges. In the last decade things have been tightened up here. No stems; 4 to 5 days maceration; vinifi cation at a maximum temperature of 30C after 24 hours, at the beginning at 33–34C; and 30 percent new oak is the recipe. And the results are usually very good. The house style is for round, fruity wines which avoid the toughness of most Nuits-Saint-Georges. Despite being softer than some, the wines keep well."

Domaine Alain Michelot 的歷史可以追溯到19世紀80年代初。從創立之初期至現在，酒莊已歷經四代人，酒莊目前由Alain、女兒Elodie和女婿Christophe三人同步管理。位於法國勃艮第金丘（Cote d’Or）夜聖喬治子產區（Nuits-Saint-Georges），是該產區內一座知名的小型酒莊。

酒莊共有8公頃的葡萄園，包含Clos de Vougeot特級園﹐Morey-Saint-Denis以及Nuits-Saint-Georges中的9個知名葡萄園。其中7.5公頃位於Nuits-Saint-Georges（一半的葡萄園為一級園），其餘的則位Morey-Saint-Denis，園內種植著樹齡在45年以上的黑皮諾（Pinot Noir）葡萄。這款酒是來自Aux Chaignots是“Nuits-Saint-Georges”村級AOC的一級葡萄種植園。因此，以這個園中的葡萄、按照Nuits-Saint-Georges AOC法定釀制的葡萄酒，可以在酒標上用“Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru”稱號，並可以印上該葡萄園的名字作為特色。

有關釀造 Winemaking 


自2001年採用Table de Tri(挑選臺)進行嚴格的葡萄篩選﹐葡萄完全去梗﹐果肉加極少的二氧化硫﹐在葡萄皮的原生酵母的作用下，進入緩慢而漫長的發酵過程。必要時，還有進行saignee(放血法)。酒莊的發酵過程相當長，保持28-30°℃的溫度。發酵持續約7-10天﹐並通常不加任何糖分。每一年份的新橡木桶比例不同﹐但Nuits-St-Georges村莊級款式不超越25%，一級園款式不超遇30%﹐以免橡木桶對酒質的影響過大。20個月後，葡萄酒經過輕柔的過濾便可裝瓶。值得一提的是，Alain Michelot酒莊釀酒過程中產生的酒泥非常少，所以避免了裝瓶前的下膠工序。


Alain Michelot酒莊出品的葡萄酒結構平衡，口感順滑，是絕佳的Nuits-Saint-Georges入門酒。首先，它將當地的風土特色表現得很充分，其次它帶有明顯的黑皮諾果實的一級香氣和複雜的二級香氣，最後其陳年潛力非常好，且各個階段都適宜飲用。著名的法國葡萄酒作家Remington Norman曾讚譽Alain Michelot Les Porrets（Nuits-Saint-Georges一級園）葡萄酒（Domaine Alain Michelot Les Porrets, Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru）虎膽雄心，很有魄力。
