Located on the heights of Chablis, the Domaine Begue-Mathiot has a unique panoramic view over the grand crus of the vineyard. Maryse and Guylhaine give great care and attention every day to their 17

hectares of vines and make their wines using all their considerable know-how, to produce great Chablis wines.

產區 Region

Chablis is a sub-region in the far northwest of Burgundy, situated further from the main appellation and boasting distinctly different terroir. Generally speaking, Chablis is cooler due to its higher latitude; its soil is different; and its proximity to the sea, influenced by the winds.

More precisely, Chablis is a village-level AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée), with its extensive vineyards largely embracing the local landscape. Chablis vineyards are typically situated on steep slopes along the River Serein, maximizing sunlight exposure.

Domaine Bègue-Mathiot, owned by Maryse and Guylhaine Bègue-Mathiot, boasts 17 hectares of vineyards. They are committed to crafting wines that truly express the Chablis terroir. This Vaillons Premier Cru wine is typically unoaked, or minimally oaked, to maximize the purity of the Chardonnay grapes and the minerality of the terroir, a hallmark of Chablis.
