From the 17th century to the modern day, ten generations of owners have succeeded each other and left their stamp upon the history of Château Lascombes. A destiny paved along its way with colourful characters, who all contributed to the excellence of the wines of Château Lascombes.
The Château Lascombes vineyard covers 120 hectares (296 acres) in the Margaux appellation, as well as 10 hectares (24 acres) in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Today, it is one of the largest vineyards among the classified growths of 1855.
The elegant architectural form of the château that comes into view behind its iron gates offers a variety of styles, in which 17th century elements mingle with those of the 19th. The original château, a classic “chartreuse”, the ground floor of which still survives, was built in the 17th century, while the various successive owners each added their own contribution to the building, particularly during the 19th century. An English influence in particular, fashionable during that period, can be observed on the upper floors of the residence. From the surrounding grounds, the vista of the château and its adjoining vineyard is superb.
The wines of Château Lascombes are aged in barrels for eighteen to twenty months. Using Oxoline barrel racks, the estate has adopted highly dependable technology based on simple principles. While from the outside the winery confor.
Denis Dubourdieu 曾為超一級莊 Chateau d'Yquem 滴金和 一級莊Chateau Rayne-Vigneau 作釀酒顧問,自己同時亦擁有二級莊 Chateau Doisy- Daene ,釀造甜酒實力無容置疑,而Chateau Reynon 甜酒的釀造和陳釀過程與 Chateau Doisy-Daene 貴腐甜酒相同。採收由經驗豐富的葡萄採摘者進行三到六次選擇性採摘,以便在最理想的成熟階段收集經過“貴腐菌”濃縮的葡萄。豐富而純淨的白葡萄汁液在橡木桶中發酵,每半年更新一次。然後在橡木桶中陳釀 9 個月,在涼爽的地窖中陳釀,並通過每週對桶進行澆頭和倒罐。隨後在不銹鋼罐放置 9 個月才裝瓶。由於 Noble Rot 出現極依賴天氣,不穩定因素令釀造甜酒風險極大,隨時損失整個收成,故Reynon 的貴腐甜白酒只釀造了五個年份,分別為 96, 98, 99, 00 和 01年,產量極少,是 Denis Dubourdieu 的遺作。
